I am a 30 year tradesman who's hands can get tingly and arm pump and numbness can make long rides a real bummer. This unit makes it so I can release my hand grip and tension and relax my hand and arm. No more arm pump or hand cramping and numbness.Now for the unit specifics: There is a great video on U-tube to show you how to install, I highly recommend watching it a couple of times and while you install. If your not sure which model is for your bike, Go to the Parent web sight ( break away) and they have an easy to follow bike model conformation chart. You will find that one model unit is applicable to many different motorcycles. once you get the unit, fallow the video directions and it will work great. The rubber washer strip that I used was the largest one and really tight supper snug fit. The only issue I had was when pushing the unit on the last bit agains the throttle housing. It wasn't wanting to go, and I didn't want to break it trying to force it. But it does take a bit more force for that last little bit...it didn't break lol. It pops on the last little bit to get over the shoulder of the throttle housing. Once installed it really looks like it belongs on the bike, it rides up close to the throttle housing all nice, tight, and clean and is nicely chromed.Now fort the operations of the unit. Remember that an electronic unit can adjusts for hills or steep grades. The bike slows you when you go down hill and speeds you up when going up hill in order to keep you at the desired speed that you have chosen. This unit it a manual unit. That means on flat level ground it will hold you at the speed you have chosen until there is a change in slope gong up hill you will need to give it more throttle and going down hill you will need to reach up and roll the throttle back a bit. I have read some reviews where they thought it wasn't working right and adjusting for them. Its a manual model not an electronic unit. Also some people have mentions that the unit will allow the bike slowed down or kept speeding up. As per the directions, you need to let the bikes RPM's settle out and then set the unit. My bike is fuel injected and when I m accelerating and then easy back on the throttle, the bike still feeds a bit of fuel and the bike continues to accelerate before it settles at the speed I am wanting. So if I set the control before the rpm's have settled and look down I find the bikes going faster than I am wanting. This is a user issue not a unit issue. If the bike is slowing, it usually means that I set the unit going down hill and gravity is pushing me fast but the rpm's are actually low so when I level out I find that I am going slower and need to adjust the throttle. Again, a user issue not a unit issue. We did find that on a friends bike that his unit wasn't tight enough and needed adjusting to get a tighter bite. We referred back to the video, made that rare adjustment that they say you normally shouldn't have to do, and we were up and running. So in closing the unit works great, looks great, and can rejuvenate older riders. One just needs to realize the limitations or rather the differences from a mechanical cruise control to a electronic cruise control. I would highly recommend this unit for cruiser bikes..... I say this because thats what I am using it on. I am sure it is just as great for other types as well.

This is the most well thought out design in fit, finish and function I have ever seen.The instructions were detailed and very clear and helpful. Just follow the instructions and you will have no problems.I've bought other throttle locks over the years and they have been, at best, okay. They were made of plastic, didn't fit right, flexed in all the wrong places and the instructions were non-existent.Not so here.Install was a breeze, instructions were detailed and the finished product functions flawlessly.I, at first, hesitated due to the price being $200 and change. I bought others at $20-$50 and wouldn't buy them again. I'd buy this again, no problem.The function is beautiful! The lock is positive for engagement or disengagement. You can feel through the thickest of riding gloves. It doesn't flex or move around like cheap imitations. It holds where you set it and minor adjustments are easily done.The bonus is the break disengagement. If in a panic you grab the break, it automatically disengages giving you complete control. No other throttle locks has this feature.Pros- CNC aircraft aluminum.Fit is awesome!Instructions are very clear.Functions can be felt while wearing gloves.Break disengagement function.Solid build. No flex.Infinite adjustments to fit any bike.It won't hit your tank and doesn't interfere with other controls.like others do.Cons-Price. $200 + shipping and tax. But, do you want the best? Ordo you cut corners? Don't cut corners. Buy this. You will thankme later

Is it worth the purchase? Kinda. For the base price it’s pretty expensive. But if it ever goes on sale, definitely worth it then. The grip slips even if tightened all the way, kind of a pain to install, but seller contact support is fantastic so kudos to them for that.

I had seen this product reviewed on YouTube and recommended by fellow riders, and decided to get one. I'll admit it is not a simple install, and requires several steps and careful adjustment of screw settings to make sure it isn't too tight yet still holds the throttle steady. I was reluctant to install this myself, so had my local motorcycle dealer do it. It is very subtle and unobtrusive, and if you don't know it's there, you wouldn't know it was there. It works simply by pressing a button once at desired speed, and you can release it either by pulling the front brake lever or hitting the release button. I feel it is one of, if not THE, best throttle locks on the market. It is not inexpensive, but you get what you pay for.
