Amazing capabilities
I love my halo radar. Not only does it reach out 24 miles, it is amazing in helping navigate congested waterways. The harbor mode target tracks that are potential dangers to your vessel, and identifies them as a collision threat. Additionally, the bird mode helps you find bait offshore by identifying birds near the surface. The radar interfaced with my MFD very easily, and was a Snap to install.

Easy install and wire
I installed myself. It comes with paper template, just read the instructions, follow template. Took me about 30 minutes, I went slow. Easy 12V wiring. Long cable, plenty for my 21' CC. I do have to provide power to Radar first, then start up my Simrad Go9 so that the Go9 can see the radar, then go from Standby to Transmit. I was seeing beyond 30nm, left Dana Point Harbor and was seeing Catalina island, as well as other boats 100 yards from me.Very happy with the purchase, I like the safety of having it when we leave at 4 AM. Also, weather and bird mode are good too.
