I don't have to move out!!!
(UPDATE: I'm keeping my five-star review, but editing now that we've had these amazing collars for a couple months. The Main Bark Instigator (MBI) is too smart for all of us. She figured out that it's only a harmless vibration so it no longer deters her from barking, although it sure chilled out the other dog. She (MBI) barks continuously right through all the warning beeps and even the vibration. We change the battery on her collar once a week (ordered in bulk). But here I am ordering a replacement just the same because although she scream-barks anyway, the tirade doesn't last *quite* as long as before we discovered this collar, and it's all we've got. I'm sure she wore the first collar to death and that's why we need a replacement. Heavy sigh. It's still the best solution we've found so I'm keeping the glowing review of the collar, and altering my opinion of the dog. She is an impressive warrior to say the least. She's like the Terminator. Remember that movie? Yeah, so..... all in all this is a great product being worn on a brilliant and relentless screamer. Pray for me.)Game Changer. Destiny Changer! My wife and I can scarcely believe the incredible difference this bark collar has made in our every day existence. Somehow we got stuck with three dogs (we're not really 'dog people' but we do love these fur-covered-family-members) and four teenagers (we love them all, too). The first two small dogs bark at every sound and motion they see out the window, and the newest dog (a much larger breed) has since been taught by the first two and now joins in. No matter what started the barking, they keep each other going non-stop until one of us grabs the squirt bottle (water only) and begins firing away. This has been frustratingly ineffective so most family members just yell at the dogs to stop barking. In dog language that's just more barking so they are encouraged to, in fact, keep barking. Between all the yelling people and barking dogs, the volume in our house would reach harmful levels, several times per day. Many years prior we tried a shock collar for the Main Bark Instigator, but she would scratch at the spot that had just been shocked, and quickly learned that after she scratched the "business end" of the collar far enough out of the way, it wouldn't shock her and then she would get right back to the job of terrorizing everyone. Then we tried one of those collars that would spray a little citronella with every bark. She learned how to cope with the smell until the cartridge was empty and then she would get back to work screaming at all the neighbors. We pretty much resigned ourselves to a life sentence of never knowing peace again, and resorted to running into the living room, armed with the aforementioned spray bottle. Waste of time but we had no earthly clue what else we could do.Just before deciding I had to give up and move out, I tried once more to look for a solution. And here it is, my friends. This is it. From the moment these collars were attached to the two barkiest dogs, we have experienced a sense of auditory peace like we had not known in the past 10 years. Not only that, but since there is zero pain involved (like with the shock collar), it is actually hilariously entertaining to watch these Bark-Machine-Guns learn! Also since it doesn't hurt, the Main Bark Instigator doesn't scratch at it like she did with the shock collar, so it stays where it should and works every time. These things are generous with the warning beeps, so I've watched some actual self-training occur over the past several days, from a peaceful spot on the couch, water bottle out of reach. If you are looking for something that will truly help you, your family and your neighbors, you have now found it. Seriously, this is the one.Best of luck, fellow Peace Seekers!!

It depends on the dog
This collar is sort of hit or miss in my opinion. I dog sit and have a large amount of dogs pass through my home and though I bought this to try on my own two pups, I have also tried it on a few others of different ages and sizes. It worked well for one of my own dogs and he would stop barking at the first tone fairly consistently. It didn’t phase my other dog and she barked right through both beeps and vibrations...the later vibrations seem so delayed from the bark that I doubt she even thought there was a connection and though she is a small dog, the irritation of the collar didn’t seem to bother her at all.The other comical effect I’ve seen the collar have was on a very large and happily boistorius puppy that barked loudly in enthusiastic excitement. On him the first tone would work to stop the barking because he would suddenly be surprised and look around him to see where the sound had come from. However, he would always look at his rear end in intense curiosity after a beep, looking as if he had thought the sound had come from himself and was a new digestive noise he should be paying attention to.Anyway, it works fine on dogs that aren’t serious barkers... but in my opinion, those that are intent on barking won’t let it phase them much.Which is no fault of the device. One flaw with the actual device is that another dog barking, one that isn’t wearing the device, can still set it off from across the room. We had that happen several times, where the dog wearing the collar was not barking but another dog was and still set the collar off from a distance. Which seems a tad unfair for the dog wearing the collar. So I ended up not using it because of that.

Within 15 min we had a new dog!
The media could not be loaded. Our 2 year old mini schnauzer hates anything and anyone not part of his normal routine and is met with a barking fit and charging towards the object. Cars, neighbors, visitors, etc.We tried the handheld devices, but they were not practical: one needed to constantly be close by and he started to resent the person using the device. When we have guest, we had to always keep him away, he would NOT "get used to them", even repeat visitors or overnight guests. The collar had not arrived yet, so the latest visitors had to endure his terror for a day. Here is the timeline for using the collar (with the same guest he had been terrorizing for a day already):*I put on the collar turned to level 3, thinking, let's start low, strongest level is Level 7.*He started his usual barking fit. The collar correctly and every time recognized his barking and remitted the sound and vibrates.* he did this three times, got confused because he didn't see a person doing it.*he stopped and went to his "safe space" (the bedroom). It is important for the dog to be able to retreat to a space he feels the "threat" (i.e. guest) cannot follow him. We made sure no guest ever entered this room before.*we went about our business, sitting in the kitchen.*after 5 min, he peeked around the corner, NOT barking. I immediately praised him with a treat. He stuck around.*I put a treat trail to our guest and our Schnauzer took the bait, literally. Still no barking.* he walked around, I kept praising him. Eventually, ca. 10 min into it, he jumped onto the window seat and just sat and watched, as usual, when we have no guests. (See picture attached). He continued for the rest of the night to be his calm usual self.*Testing the collar outside: Situation: a truck next door making noise, the neighbor was outside with her dog. Normally our dog would charge towards them, barking his head of. As per the video, he still barked once, but everytime was ready to go, instead of being aggressive. I think in a few days, he might not bark at all anymore. We also tested the collar 5ft away from a different dog barking and the collar did not pick up the bark.AMAZINGThe collar charges quickly, all day use needs 15 min of charge to be full again. This review is for this particular product, but that is not to say other collars won't work.
