I got the 10 lb. Rich Chocolate. It was good as far as protein shakes go. I wasn't expecting a fancy milkshake and am impressed when they are palatable at all. This was actually pretty good so there is that. I tried mixing it with warm coffee and it failed to mix completely. I tried with cold water and then again with oatmeal. Mixed just fine with both. I don't know what causes that, but you might try different mixing groups if it becomes an issue for you. My current preference is either with cold water or oatmeal. I looked around for a while and this was one of the better if not the best price/quality ratio I could find. There are probably better options around for twice the price.

Pros:- The rich chocolate flavor is not as bad as some people have complained about. I mix it with milk or soy milk and it tastes fine. Better than OP's gold standard double rich chocolate.- At the moment you can't find any other 10 lb whey protein sold at $55!!! Best price!- 25g of protein per scoop- Nice packaging. It is an air tight bag with a slider! Very convenient.Cons:- 23% cholesterol per scoop with respect to daily nutrition value. Other whey protein powders have 12-18% cholesterol content so...- Whey protein composition: Concentrate > Isolate > Hydrolyzed concentrate... Other protein powders (>$90 per 10 lb) typically have Isolate > Concentrate > Peptide composition. Isolate is better than concentrate.- It clumps. Shaker is a must. Some like to use spoon to mix protein powders with water/milk, but you can't do that with this powder. You need a shaker and shake for good 2 mins!At $50-60 per 10 lb, this whey protein powder is the best deal!

BACKGROUNDThe first protein powder I purchased was from GNC. It was both over priced and had too many calories. After spending a couple days looking at a wide range of protein, I came across this option. The main benefit it has over other protein powders is that it only has 117 calories per 24 grams of protein. As I have NO trouble putting on weight, minimizing my calorie count is a main focus.ACTUAL USAGEI have now been using this protein for three weeks and it has given me very satisfying results. I workout in the morning before work: weights/cardio for 90 mins M,W,F; cardio 60 mins Tu,Th; cardio 60 mins Sa,Su; and then I have a protein shake as a meal replacement for breakfast and a supplement for lunch. Even working out as hard as possible I feel fine all morning after the gruesome 45 mins weights / 45 mins cardio workout on M,W,F and only this protein shake for food (note: I take two scoops of M5 Extreme by Cellucore 35 mins before my workout). Adding the protein shake just before lunch enables me to eat a much smaller portion without feeling abused. This then allows me to eat a great dinner of 1,200 to 1,400 calories and maintain solid weight loss and muscle gains (note: I weigh 236 lbs and have lost 12 lbs in 21 days of this workout regimen).Hope this helps someone out there!

I have used whey protein several times a day for 13 years now. I used to love Champion Nutrition Pure Whey Stack in chocolate. However, Champion changed the formula a couple of time, making it worse each time. So I started looking for another one to use as my staple drink. I have literally tried dozens and dozens of brand and flavors, as I have a friend in the business of selling whey protein powders. When I tried Dymatize Nutrition Elite Whey Protein in Rich Chocolate, I knew I have found my replacement. I like it even better than the Champion. It has a smooth, rich chocolate taste without any aftertaste. It mixes easily by shaking or stirring into cold water. And in the morning, I stir it into hot coffee (make sure it isn't too hot or it will curdle the protein) and have a wonder drink to start the morning. I tried other flavors in this brand and they really didn't appeal to me, but the Rich Chocolate is perfect. And I love that it is available in the larger size container at a great price.

I agree that this has/had a funky taste. At first, it tasted like spoiled whey. But after a week or two, I don't notice that taste anymore.I really like this now and think it tastes good. It just didn't taste exactly like all of the other protein shakes. This is my first batch of this brand.It mixes well, much better than other brands. I think it tastes more like Ovaltine than a chocolate shake.The bag is huge and will last a long time.My delivery was on time, packaged nicely and was not damaged in any way. My bag was not cut, open and doesn't look fake.I would definitely buy this product again.

Huge bag of protein. Tasty and high quality. Be cautious when opening the box. Scissors sliced through the bag where there was an incision in the middle of the bag. Duct tape closed the opening. The top is torn open from a plastic zipper. However, there's no resealing apparatus where I had to put protein in 3 separate containers. Big value and the anticipation of needing to buy more protein isn't necessary for a while.

Love the product, mixes easy and the flavors good. Advice to give, find the pack with the best current value.Don’t stress about any old bad reviews that rated low, this product is solid.

I use it for my diet plan for weight loss surgery. This bag for the great price gives me enough protein shakes for breakfast and lunch to last me two months. It also is sugar free in case you are diabetic. It tastes better than a lot of GNC shakes at a fraction of the price in my opinion too.
