Whether you believe in astrology or not, this is a fun and illuminating book!
I actually lost a copy of this book due to a hurricane and water damage and ordered a replacement. This book has always intrigued me because after much reading and reflection, I decided that it does not postulate that there are 12 kinds of people in the world. However, there are traits and tendencies in people that are worth understanding as you navigate your way through life. When you read this book you might find yourself and those around you described very well. It delves into the way that individuals approach life, For instance, two taurus men could have diametrically different ideas about any subject, but it is their intense (translated as stubborn) tendency to cling to that belief after much reflection that is frankly, very consistent in the ones you know. Taken one step further, these broad tendencies among astrological signs could potentially affect a relationship. Whether you believe in astrology or not, this book is worth reading to recognize our own individual traits that could be improved if recognized. Linda Goodman makes a huge subject a lot of fun.

This is the BEST Astrology book I have ever owned.
Not only does Linda Goodman provide you with an easy to understand overview of the signs - she tells you the information in the most FUN TO READ way. She writes with such ease and with a voice that makes you feel like she is one of your best friends that you have known for years. My grandmother first gave me this book when I was younger and throughout my life I have used this book to gain a broader understanding of the nature behind each sign in order to better understand the variety of relationships I have had in my life. She is SPOT ON with almost everything she describes. I have repeatedly purchased this book to give as gifts. If you are looking for a great started book for Astrology and how the different signs relate to one another - this is the ONE BOOK I would recommend. I love Linda Goodman and I LOVE this book!!

I will always love this book.
I remember this book from when I was a little girl and my mom brought it home. I just remember liking the cover and reading the bits about Peter Pan. Then as I got older and began to like to read, I discovered what was inside that cover and the rest was history. I love it. It was a great read from start to finish. Over the years every member of our house has consulted it to plunder its wisdom. I don't know much about astrology nor do I believe in it, but the writing style is what keeps me coming back for more. I love it's whimsical spirit and wisdom. The bits of original poetry are wonderful and inspiring. Of a rainy evening you could do worse than to sit down with this one. There are no boring parts, just charming anecdotes about love and relationships. You will enjoy reading about every sign and combination trying to glimpse descriptions of yourself or of people you know. I just don't have a bad thing to say about this book except that it is too short. I wish there were more signs in the zodiac just to read what Linda Goodman has to say about them. Her other books are good too but this one is definitely the keeper of them all.

Absolutely The Best astrology book out there!
I had my first copy of this when I was a young girl in the 70's! I knew then that it was the most accurate description of me/Sagittarius as soon as I read it. It's not full of fluff and random, commercialized. Miss Goodman has very good astrological research in there, but she makes it easy to understand, and tinges it with humor. I've always loved how it explains your sigh, and also shows you how you match up with each zodiac sign as far as love goes, for men and women. My beloved, dog-eared copy traveled with me throughout my years growing up and I've always recommended it and shared it with my friends. Eventually it was lost during one of my many moves and life changes. I was so glad to finally see it available for my Kindle! Thanks Amazon.Linda Goodman's Love Signs

Awesome book about relationships per astrology
This is an interesting book about relationships - mainly men and women together - using astrology - the month and date one was born - to illustrate either compatibility or incompatibility. It’s interesting but one shouldn’t cast in stone a relationship based on astrology, but it is helpful to read about the traits of certain signs, and whether they will work in a male/female relationship.

Pros and Cons: over all worth the purchase!
I will preface this with two things: 1) I am not a big believer in astrology but I think it is fun to learn about and 2) I bought an old edition from 1992.So far I have read a bit of the introduction, a second about my sign (Libra) and a few pages on love pairings.Pros: I am very pleased with the accuracy and insight I have already gained from this book. It has been very accurate about relationships so far and I think this will be a useful book to have for many years. I also enjoy the style of Goodman's writing. She manages to both not take herself and the reader too seriously (poking a bit of fun at signs here and there) and also take her practice very seriously. She calls out the bad habits of other astrologers and common misconceptions. There's a couple of paragraphs explaining "cusp" signs and how moon signs influence personality. All good things!Cons: She focuses only on heterosexual relationships! :( Each sign section assumes the primary sign is a woman and the partner is a man (which means that if you are a man and your partner is a woman you can look up the reverse in your partner's sign section). I would like to know if there really is a big difference when the partners are both women or both men (or nonbinary). Does gender matter that much, really? I do appreciate the analysis of masculine and feminine qualities, but it's all a bit stereotypical. Again this is an old copy (1992), so it's possible that the language has changed in newer additions. It would be great if someone else could comment on that!tl;dr This book is worth purchasing even if you aren't a big astrology believer and can get over the gender binary stuff.
