Fantastic billing, and not too spicy. You can definitely feel the heat, but it’s not to much. They nailed it!

Ive tried a few different brands of biltong and made my own. I have to say that this wasn't my favorite. Believe me, i wanted to like it. The taste was sour and most of the bag was pulverized shreds. :( I did find that letting a bit airdry in a bowl made it a little more palatable, but honestly it'sjust sitting in my fridge still, where normally I'd have eaten the whole bag in a day or so. I will say that there was a decent amount for the price. The texture and cut were good on the whole pieces. Also, some of the bites left a weird coating and nasty taste on my tongue, like baking soda or something, but definitely an off taste.I had my own beef jerky store for several years, so I'm a connoisseur, but no snob.-----update 8/13/2019-------I contacted customer service via the email on the bag and got a response. They sent me a new bag and here is the email I sent them back. Very happy now.....The biltong showed up last Thursday! I'm sorry i kept forgetting to email you.It is delicious. It's night and day difference between the bag I got through Amazon originally.This bag was pristine and the taste is spot on. Every piece is a perfect slice, no shreds or fluff. Dark, rich brown color, not hay colored like the old bag. I really think that the other bag got very hot or something and out the taste off.Thank you so much. Now I know that if I am in the mood for biltong, Ayoba-yo is a good choice.Thanks for the customer service as well.....

Very good but inconsistency in dryness is annoying

This Biltong is made with good clean meat. Slices are thin and there is not much fat to be seen. But the traditional taste and spices cannot be detected. This was a big disappointment to this South African, that grew up eating Biltong.

I bought this"jerky" because it promised a unique experience with no carbs. What it delivers is a high quality snack that is so tender and easy to chew that you can't really describe it as jerky. The texture is unique and the flavor has a smooth heat that builds up in your mouth. The more you chew it, the more this heat develops. It's not a scorching heat but more of a background warmth that builds up slightly and lingers on your palette.Containing no carbs, this is a great Keto and Paleo friendly snack that adds a welcome bit of variety from the usual fare. Because it is grass fed beef, it contains CLA, which is very beneficial for individuals who are taking these dietary journeys.This was a high quality and unique experience.

I bought 4 packets of your biltong. I'm a South African, I know biltong, the spicy packet of biltong that I received is old, tastes moldy. Not satisfied. Will refrain from buying again. As an ex South African who is very fond of biltong and droewoers, I was extremely excited to trying this particular brand. I thought the flavor / taste was pretty authentic but was extremely disappointed in the contents of the package. The product is expensive but this would have been justified if I actually received proper slices of biltong. The package contents were about 50% slices biltong and the other 50% consisted of “biltong dust” Please slice your biltong manually versus using an electric biltong slicer - it’s not pleasant paying for biltong sawdust/ powder.Update: I came home today and was surprised to find a package from Ayoba-Yo containing a replacement package(s) of biltong and a note from Wian explaining possible causes for the biltong fluff. I am extremely impressed with this company and their customer service. Needless to say, the biltong tasted great and the contents were plentiful and fluff free. They have certainly won me over with their customer service and I will not hesitate to order from them again and I am changing my original rating to 5 star

Not so good. Tiny pieces like the bottom of a bag. Had to eat it by the pinch. Tried variety pack but all three tasted similar. Very little flavor. Didnt come close to what I was expecting. Would not buy again.
