EBF61315802 Washer Door Lock Switch, Replacement Part for LG & Kenmore Washing Machine - Replaces AP5672154, PS7792232, 2667085, EAP7792232, PD00008063

When the door would not latch on our LG front loader washer, after several attempts of failing to get the door to stay closed I found latch was broken, ordered the latch. I also ordered this electric lock assembly just as a back up in case the latch for some reason did not repair the problem. Evidently I broke the latch trying to close the door with 'viger'. The problem was actually the OEM electric lock assembly had failed not allowing the door to latch properly. This unit works just like the OEM part and am very happy with the repair. Of course had to replace the broken latch also.

Was easy to find the part I needed once I listed the part number and description from the parts list manual. Found a u-tube video to learn how to replace the part on my washing machine door. Worked great, fit in without any problems especially with the extra purchase of special pliers for installation. Was suggest that most people who bought this part also bought the tool. Saved a bunch of money, thought we would have buy a new machine. The parts arrived nújin about 3days .

After pricing a replacement part from the machine manufacturer, I looked on Amazon and with such a huge price difference, I decided to take a chance with Amazon ($132 vs. $18). The part arrived in about two days, and after watching YouTube videos on how to install it and a prayer, I was able to get my washer running again. I will admit I had some difficulty unplugging the connector, but after that was done, it took less than ten minutes to install and seems to be working perfectly. I read a review that said the part lasted for one year, and if I get a year out of an $18 part, I’ll be happy.

I was fixing the water pump on my washing machine, and broke the door lock in the process... don’t ask. ANYWAYS this part was a perfect replacement for my LG model: WM3570HWA. Also, the door lock replacement is a SUPER easy fix. I fixed my parent’s washing machine by just watching and following along to a youtube video.
