Delicioso
If you've never tried Turrón de Doña Pepa, this is the best you can get outside of Perú. It has 'logs' made with a pastry vaguely 'similar' to a pie dough, that is shaped into logs, and built like a log cabin. Anise is the flavor that makes it distinctive. The syrup, called Chancaca in Perú, is a sweet thick syrup that one microwaves to soften. It has some hints of molasses, orange and other fruits. They aren't always available, so purchase one and try it when they are.

Tasty!
For those that know about Peruvian turrón, in my opinion, this one is better than "San Jose*, the sirup and "grageas" come separate, so it will tate better that when let them to harden in it. Of course your mileage might vary.
