The hatchet did come very dull but aside from that, it was very much worth the purchase. I kid you not I was able to chop down a decent sized tree, get bark, and even split wood. I also was able to use the backside as a hammer to nail down my tent. Very great hatchet. Just wish it came with something to cover the head.

Made short work of a shrub stump which has bugged me for yrs. 4 stars cuz it could be sharper but for the price it's hardtop complain. It's a decent little age to have in the toolbox.

Some reviews had me nervous complaining about poor quality control, receiving used or damaged products, head mounted crooked on handle etcetera, etcetera.Mine came wrapped in about 3 inches of bubble wrap inside an Amazon box. The hatchet was flawless and in brand new condition with no sign of being used. The head was in line with the handle. The bevel grind for the edge was uniform and even on both sides. The edge was perfect for a working edge on a hatchet (remember, this is a hatchet not a chefs knife). The handle was comfortable and solid. Mine was a brand new product crafted and finished well with no defects. The only thing I want this hatchet to do is pound tent stakes and split kindling... this hatchet is perfect for that. Mine cost about $12 at the time of this review... money well spent.

The weight and quality was superb. Perfect for camping needs!

The media could not be loaded. First of all I am not sure if this is a full tank one piece of Steel which is what I want. The connection between the head and the handle seems to be glued. The blade is chipped and the Finish is partially worn off. I'm also disappointed that the device came with no sheet to cover the blade head. The device is also made in India. I am disappointed in this Coleman product because I certainly expected better.

I know it’s a hatchet, I am very happy with it. I have never used a brand new one before and this little thing is very sharp and helped me cut several bushes and 2 year old unwanted trees that sprouted on their own.

De buen peso y mango metálico que promete buena duración, habrá que ver. El agarre es suave pero firme se puede trabajar a mano desnuda, sin guantes y no lastima, la he trabajado poco pero conserva el filo de buena manera, me sorprendió el precio, me pareció barata en función de la calidad y marca, recomendable.
