Q: Does this cutter head come with the bearings installed as shown?

Yes, they come with the bearings. I installed my watching the you tube video. Makes a world of difference. You are gonna love it!

Q: does the cutter head come with the star key to remove the cutter tips? If not, what size is it? What is the torque value to replace the cutter tips?

The box I received included a screwdriver with the proper bit to removed the cutters (I believe it’s a T-25 bit). Cutters are to be torqued at 45 in lbs, and the manual literally says “A good hand tightening...”). Hope that helps.

Q: Would this cutterhead work on a dewalt 735 to plane down old ipe decking? i know that ipe is very dense and can be tough on power tools. any advice?

Haven’t tried ipe but should be just fine. The cutter head is way heavier than the standard. I would try it. Would pay for itself with one deck. The only thing I would be cautious on if it is finished - painted etc. What I have did was plane the bottom and use that for the top and use a filler for the old holes.
