Preserved Lemons By Zamouri Spices

I needed some preserved lemons for a favorite recipe and didn’t feel like making my own, so I tried this product. They were excellent - big, fat lemons with both rind and flesh that had excellent flavor. Honestly, they were better than my own, so I think I’ll just buy these online from now on. A bit pricy, but they were very good.

I love lemons and was excited to make this culinary discovery of preserved lemons when attending a Moroccan cooking class . I ordered these to repeat a special recipe at home. They are VERY salty, but that's normal. Just take care when making a dish. I felt I could have halved the amount in the recipe, given their intense flavor. And I'm glad the jar was small - I'm not sure I could use them up quickly, but they do keep well in the fridge.

I ordered these lemons,having made them in the past ,I was anxious to receive them.The package unfortunatly was not well sealed and all the liquid was almost gone.But be as it may ,I replaced it with hot water and salt and they were good as new.Their flavor was exquisite as I prepared a dish from Algeria it enhanced my dish ,the same way we had at "home".Beside the package,the test is absolutely fantastic.Thank you.

First the jar came and part of the liquid had leaked into the packaging. This seems to be common with the product. But it seemed ok so I use it. What an awful fake lemon flavor reminded me of country time lemonade. Just nasty. Let me be clear I don't think that the leaky liquid issue had anything to do with the horrible taste of the product otherwise I would have just sent it back. I saw all the positive reviews, but I note that they are old older, so I guess the quality has gone way down.

My first use of preserved lemons. The jar arrived smartly bubble wrapped and packed. Jar was very clear and Product appeared quite fresh. My recipe called for for only the rind but I chose to use the pulp too because it looked good. . FYI very many seeds but easy to remove. We all loved the flavor. Will continue to experiment and to plan it save only use this brand.

A little expensive. Have learned I can do my own preserved Organic lemons easily at a minimal cost.

I purchased this specifically for a recipe that called for it. I was pleasantly surprised to see the high quantity of actual lemons and not just rinds, which can sometimes be lacking in specialized products like these. The overall flavor was just what I was looking for. They weren't too sweet or too tart. I was a little worried that these might swing a bit tart. This will be my go to product when my recipes call for it.

this products was great. I used it to bake preserved lemon tea cake. Yum! need to be careful about seeds in the lemons tho...
