SD-081G Pro's Kit Tri-Wing Precision Screwdriver Set with 4 Pieces

Most tri-wing screwdrivers seem to be really cheaply made with poor quality control. These are much higher quality! They are made in Taiwan. They have well formed tips that fit snugly in the screw heads. The metal seems to be of very durable quality. These are not one time use throw away screwdrivers.I purchased this screwdriver set because I needed a tri-wing screwdriver to replace a laptop battery in a Macbook. Apple really doesn't want the end user doing that, so they use tri-wing security screws hoping the end user doesn't have a screwdriver that fits. I work in IT though and it's my job to be able to repair computers and laptops.I have another tri-wing screwdriver from a well known chain tool store and it works, but doesn't fit the screws as well as the Eclipse Tools set does. The quickest way to strip out a screw head is with a poorly fitting or wrong sized screwdriver and that leads to endless frustration. This screwdriver set has 4 sizes and when I made the purchase I was hoping that one of the sizes would fit the screw perfectly. It did! For those of you who are looking for the correct screwdriver for your replacing your Macbook battery, Size 0 is the one you will need out of this set. I saw no damage to the screwdriver tip after reinstalled the screws, so it looks like the tips on these are very durable.Spend the money on this set and save yourself a lot more money by replacing your Macbook battery instead of your entire Macbook!

Infrequently used, but they performed well.

Bought these to repair my WII. I actually took apart and put back together two units with about 10 screes each unit, and they worked great, no stripping. Definitely worth it to pay more, even if you only use the one. I bought the cheap red handled one and it stripped after two screws. I hope not to ever have to fix the WII again, but at least I know I have the tool for it.

Don't get too excited about the quality but for the price this is a good set of screw drivers and is just what you need to replace the battery in an Apple Pro Laptop. Quality is OK for home use but not for the professional.

The description on Amazon says this is "Three tri-wing screwdrivers (#000, #00, #0) and one triangle security screwdriver (2.7mm)." however, what I received has four tri-wing screwdrivers (#000, #00, #0, #1) which is what I wanted anyway. I don't know what a triangle security screwdriver is, but I don't miss having one.The set is made well, with a comfortable handle and a well made tip that grips the screws well. I got this to repair my MP3 player and it is much better than the cheap triwing one gets (the one with a red handle) that you see in several places on the web. That piece of junk is both the wrong size and poorly made. The top of these screwdrivers also rotates, so you can put pressure on the screw while turning easily.If you need a set of triwings, I think think you'll be happy with these.

I read many reviews of cheaper tri-wing screwdrivers marketed for Nintendo product repair breaking easily, so I settled on these instead. They've been great so far. They are of a quality that I would expect in mini/micro screwdrivers and have performed well. It would be nice if they came with a storage case of some kind, but that's a minor point.

I needed a tri-wing to open my Gameboy Advance cartridges and heard of the cheaper sets being duplicates (to replace damaged heads) or just being too cheap to use more than once or twice. This set is not only of various sizes which may help with future projects but also excellent quality. I've used the larger one several times and no stripping, and the end of the grip has a rotating base so you don't rub your hands raw when working with them. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money and get this set if you do any kind of work on Nintendo games or hardware.

These were very handy for fixing an electronic device where the manufacturer didn't want us to gain access to its inner workings. Very glad I got these. Being able to get inside my device, I saved a lot on repair costs.
