HERSHEY'S Organic Chocolate Bar, 1.55 oz. (Pack of 12)

I ordered this chocolate for a couple reasons. First, I started a diet strict to try to lose 100 pounds. But I didn't want to deny my cravings. I wanted an option to satiate my sweet tooth, and a candy to bring with me to the movies once a week.My brother was also diagnosed with diabetes, and he lives with me. So any sweets I was bringing into the house was also hurting him, because he didn't have the willpower to not eat the desserts I brought into the house for myself.These dark chocolate bars only have 19 grams of sugar per bar. It's recommended that you stay under 25 grams of sugar TOTAL per day if you're trying to lose weight or cure diabetes. So this is great because you can just take a few pieces of this chocolate without going over your daily allotment. Or if you're REALLY feeling it, then it's still OK to eat the whole bar without feeling guilty.It tastes really good. Pretty much everyone in my family was surprised that they liked the flavor- even the people who normally go for milk chocolate because they "don't like" dark chocolate.The price is also amazing. It's roughly $1 per bar. Yes, that's normal for Hershey's chocolate. But keep in mind that for most healthy dark chocolate out there, it's normally $3 per bar.This one has a higher sugar count than some of those expensive brands out there where it's 75% cacao. But those super dark chocolates taste gross when you're still addicted to sugar. It's an acquired taste. So I highly recommend this one instead.

Very dissappointing...Chocolate was bitter, chalky, and very, very hard. Looked as though it had bed frozen. Texture while chewing was like coarse ground rock salt. Also, missing original, (as ppictured), cardboard packaging. Was repacked loosely in plastic. I have ordered this product in the past, with satisfaction. It was like throwing away $25. 😪Had to throw it out.

The candy has an excellent taste, which I love chocolate, and I like the dark chocolate as well and the company that I bought it from went too quite a bit of trouble to make sure that it did not melt. They sent it in two boxes wrapped with bubble wrap with two cold packs Inside the box beside the candy so that it would not melt. I would highly recommend using this company.

Tried these bars instead of Organic Milk Chocolate Bars. Preferred Organic MILK Chocolate Bars.

I decided to report this after letting it go for a few months. I’ve always been happy with this companyAnd I wanted to let it go. But it bothered me I could not eat the chocolate. They were expensive; It was old, had little taste, & the Hershey bar was all wrong Compared to my previous - it was out of date. The date was under a tag I found while throwing out the box of chocolates. So, read your dates if in doubt.

To clarify, I think this chocolate is much more of a 4 out of 5 stars but the chocolate comes in as if someone played football with your package. Only one or two chocolate bars makes it to you without breaking into piece from shipping. Good stuff and I have stuck to this as my preferred chocolate lately. I have several boxes in the pantry. Well worth the money for good, dark organic chocolate.

These bars are chalky and stale, barely edible - the expiration date was good, or I’d give them 1 star. Very disappointing to my family and grandchild for Christmas, and non returnable so wasted $28. Bigger companies meant better quality (and safer) decades ago, but it seems to have completely reversed, and for that I’m actually happy - big proponent of eating healthy and therefore eating locally and from small companies that have still done their due diligence like the big boys, and nowadays most do for their products to be competitive. I only ordered these bc I couldn’t get anything else here in time, and the ingredients are only better than their regular chocolate due to claim of organic labeling - they don’t even list their ingredients here. Ironically I don’t see much difference in pricing between big brands that have gone organic, and your smaller organic companies - with better ingredients in most. Stick with other brands of organic chocolate, they take better care and don’t produce/ distribute massively, always much better quality.
