Nothing to write home about, but they work fine. They do lose their stretch faster than the ones made in the 80's. The quality is just not there, but for the price they are ok. OH, but you DO have to sand down the pointy parts unless you want to scratch your scalp. VERY pointy.

These are just how I remembered from back in the day. They are cute and easy to use. Great price for them as well. My hair stayed put pretty well.

I like them because they keep my hair in place but it's made with a harder plastic than my old ones. The place that you attach it to make it a ring is also loose and it's easy for the comb to come undone.

These are junk, they broke immediately.Edit: I got a full refund at least

Tried it on and as I was pulling my hair back with it I could hear and feel my hair being pulled out (even worse when I went to take it out). And then it didn't really retract, it just stayed stretched out. So I thought "let me try it again because maybe it wasn't "broken in", nice thought but completely wrong. Still ripped hair out and then stretched out even more. This was a fast return!!

Looked nice on my hair. Bought them for a 90s party. Comes with so many in the pack. They hold well throughout the day.

Fits well for African American female thick straight hair.

These are very cheap. After wearing them one time they stretch out. If it comes apart getting back together is impossible. The price is good if you just want to use once then throw away. They are comfortable and fit well. For what I need them for they are just ok. I would think you had really thick hair these would not work for you. They probably would break. It is just cheap plastic. I have five hair so they are good for my hair type to use once.
