Q: Can you burn wood pellets in this ?

I find that the absolute best and most consistent heat comes from using wood pellets. You do have to put something in the bottom to keep the pellets from falling through. I used wire cloth, 1/4" if memory serves correctly, and this does a great job. Very little ash is left over. I commonly get burn times of 2 hours when filled just below the air holes.

Q: Is the Solo Campfire to large for two people for emergency cooking use?

I would say its perfect for two people, maybe even 4. Its rather large. The titan would maybe be a better choice for just 2 people. I have the original and the campfire.

Q: Is all you need to make it work is wood and a match?

yup :) random pinecones and foliage will work great too, very versatile and easy

Q: Would charcoal briquets work well with the Solo Campfire?

I bring solo stove campfires with the 2-pot with us on our Scout Troop river campouts (stove and utensil/clean up system in one 5gal bucket and charcoal in the second bucket). Charcoal works great, but it also burns a long time. Using driftwood (mostly trash cottonwood branches) is better for lunch, using charcoal is great for dinner. No negative impact to the stove, ash particulate size is a bit bigger with charcoal due to the binder than with wood.
