Efficiency or sensitivity rating?

The claim is 96db @ 1w/1m - the standard unit of measurement for speaker efficiency. However, being a speaker junky for 25+ years, I can tell you this is definitely not true. I've also done side by side comparison with other speakers. Ignore the sensitivity claim. That being said they are pretty nice speakers and I would recommend them.

What is the best way to connect to receiver amp

I believe the only way is by using some wire - be it old lamp cord or proper speaker wire. Connect the + and - on the backside of the speaker to the appropriate + and - on the receiver amp. Personally, I used banana plugs on both ends of my wires.
