Co. Shea Butter Lotion, 16 Ounce, Lavender Chamomile

I was SO looking forward to using this lotion. It has what appear to be fantastic ingredients and doesn’t contain xanthan gum. I really expected to like it, but, I should have read the ingredients more carefully before purchasing.Everything looks good until you get to the word “fragrance.” Good grief — the fragrance is HORRIBLE! It smells like a sickly-sweet powder room full of old, worn lace garments, all doused with too much perfume and left to fester in sweat and neglect.Maybe if you’re accustomed to artificial fragrances, room deodorizers, febreeze sprays and all that other petrochemical junk, you won’t mind the scent. Not me. I have a well-trained nose and can’t abide artificial scents. Candles make my nose run. Other people’s perfume makes me sneeze. I unplug room deodorizers when I encounter them. (Yeah. I am THAT person.)I couldn’t imagine that such an innocuous word such as “fragrance” could absolutely RUIN what promised to be a nice lotion. I have washed my hands twice and I still can’t get rid of the smell. So gross!Since I can’t return it now, I will set it free in the wild, taking it far, far away to a public ladies’ room near where I work. Other people might be able to withstand the smell, but not me.I am so sad. My quest for a perfect chamomile lotion — now with clearly NO artificial fragrance — must continue.

This is a thinner lotion, and not particularly moisturizing, but I absolutely love the smell. A very fresh lavender smell. I use it on my arms instead of using perfume. I also find lavender smell helps relax me when used before bed. Would be great for guest bathroom too

I like lavender chamomile lotions because they're herbal and often subtle aromas, but this product smells absolutely nothing like lavender or chamomile. It has a pungent, purely floral odour like fuchsia. Eating with this lotion on my hands was painful because of how hard it was on my nose.

I love Greenwich Bay products. I first ordered a sampler of small soaps in all scents. Such nice soaps. I decided which soap scent I liked best and promptly found this lotion in that scent. Very nice quality and feels great on my skin. Highly recommended !

Soft pleasant fragrance but a little goes a long way. So, just a little and you'll be just right. I have the powder and soap, too.
