Perfect poffertjes pan
I got this pan yesterday & I’m already in love. It came seasoned but I did one extra layer with grapeseed oil anyway. For baking the poffertjes, at first I brushed the wells with butter like I saw them do in Amsterdam, but my stove wanted to catch the melted butter on fire. 😬 So I kept my butter cold & put tiny pats in each well. This pan is the perfect size - in the time it takes to fill all of the wells with a squeeze bottle (about 30 seconds), it was time to flip the first ones. Some of the outermost wells did need a tiny bit more time so I’d come back to those last, or leave them when I saw they needed a few more seconds. This was insanely easy and I’m about to go into a sugar coma from a dozen perfect poffertjes.

Exactly as expected
Yup. As pictured and described. Used twice thus far and very happy with my purchase.

Heirloom quality and attractive design
Heirloom quality, very attractive design. Larger footprint on the stove than the basic round poffertjes irons due to the large handles, but I don't usually use other burners while making poffertjes so it's not an issue and the handles are convenient.Came well seasoned, easy to clean. Casting is perfect texture to hold seasoning, finer casting than other cast iron I have used, but found it did shred paper towel / cloth and required 5mins to prep the surface. Simply scour with coarse steel wool to remove the minute high spots and sharp edges prior to adding a few additional layers of seasoning and it is the best non-stick cast iron I have ever had!Only complaint is that it was loose in a box with another cast iron Victoria product and they were both aesthetically damaged which was disappointing. This is the fault of the warehouse and not the product; I would suggest ordering cast iron products separately if possible!
