Q: Is this the same version (1st printing) as in the picture, with the star drawn? For the second print run, they did away with the star.

The one I received was the first edition with the star. However, I ordered it in December of last year.

Q: How should I know if it is the newer edition?

I ordered a few months back and it was the older version. However, I did not find the colors a problem. It was obvious to me....but understand how it could be a problem if one is color blind or has poor vision. This is one of my favorite games!

Q: It's currently April 2023. Which edition is for sale in this listing: the 1st or 2nd? (I'm fairly certain it's not the 3rd.)

This is the second edition. It doesn't have the "star" movement track on the tile selection rondelle. This version has the rules change where your pawn will move to the next selection space directly clockwise or counterclockwise. It doesn't really change how the game is played.
