Cannot answer a definite "yes" or "no" but peppermint is a natural bug repellent. However, I would personally say probably not; it does not have enough peppermint oil in it to make it truly repellent; barely even smells like peppermint; very mild. Not saying you couldnt add a few more drops of your own peppermint oil (which I do because I LOVE the smell and the tingle from peppermint), just dont put all your faith in a shampoo that does not guarantee itself as a repellent.
