The wooden pieces have integrated magnets within so look the same as a standard piece. Overall I would recommend the product, nicely finished and the magnetic strength is just right, not too strong.

Q: Why do they not have lettering and numbering on the borders?

Because high quality boards do not have this

Q: Is it possible to buy replacement pieces at all? We have lost a pawn and a bishop so far ?!
