Q: This is supposedly a newer model of an item sold on Amazon. What's the difference?

Not clear what the previous item was but this item works great. We bought kitchen sponges that came with a suction cup: great idea but didn't last. The VIS'V is significantly more robust and handles a challenging kitchen sink environment. Price + Value = Winner

Q: I have installed it according to directions on smooth glass shower door but after one day it falls down. Why?

I have the same problem. I even cleaned the surface with alcohol many times and they still fall off. I have used them on the bathroom tile in the shower. The kitchen to hold pot holders on the glass oven door and they fall off. The product needs some improvement. They are bulky and clumsy and there is not much suction in the first place. Maybe that is the problem. I really wish I have a better answer. I decided to go to another product.
