Superior product! Works extremely well for repairing air bed!
Forget purchasing other repair or vinyl patch kits. This stuff works wonders!I have a fairly expensive queen airbed that was accidentally damaged by one of our guests. The damage seemed irrepairable because there were several long slid of tears on the surface of the air bed. Each tears were 4-5 inches long! Not only so, but the inside of the airbed is just vinyl, but the top surface is made of a layer of soft furry material (kind of like velvet). So I was worried that any repair liquid/patch kit would not mend this material since it's not a direct contact with vinyl.I bought this to give it a try, hoping it can save my airbed from being tossed to the trash can, and I'm so glad I did! This stuff really works! I followed the instructions somewhat, applying a layer every few minutes with a fan blowing in the room for ventilation (this stuff smells pretty toxic when you open it up). The instructions said for large repairs, use a patch of vinyl. However, I didn't have any. So I took a risk and tried to repair the long tear with direct application with this stuff. Since the tear was so large, I used binding clips to hold the two sides of the tear together and apply the first 3 layers, with 5-10 mins. drying time between each application. Afterwards, I applied few more layers, again with 5-10mins of dry time between each application. Then I left it to dry over night. The next day was the moment of truth.I pumped the air bed to ~70% just to test first the durability of the repair. It held on perfectly! So I pumped the air bed to ~90%, stretching the entire air bed to be pretty firm. No leak! No pop! About a week later was the real test. I had a few guests stay over, and two of them slept on this bed for several nights in a row! No issues! There have since been at least 6 guests on several occasions who have slept on this bed after the repair, and no leak so far!You can see the attached images of the repair that I did (images shown with air bed fully inflated). I repaired 3 long slid of tears total. You can see the crack right through between the tear, however this Airstop material hardened itself to completely cover over the entire damaged area. With each coating, after it dries, the liquid hardens and bonds with the vinyl. So the more coating applied, the harder the seal. From the images, I applied 5-6 coatings on the large tears, and about 3 coatings on the smaller tears.. Since it worked so well even on non-direct contact with a vinyl surface, I am sure this stuff will work well with most, if not all vinyl inflatable objects!I highly recommend this product over all other brands and forms of inflatable repair kits!CAUTION:- Use this only in a well ventilated area. This stuff smells really toxic upon opening the cap.- Be careful not to get it on your skin or eyes. This stuff may burn you!

RARE - product works MUCH better than expected
What is rare about this product? It is a miracle fix-it product that actually works much better than expected. Oddly enough, Coghlan's does not promote it with any outrageous claims, which they should, because it is that good.I bought a Simmons BeautyRest air mattress bed which developed a leak in the seam around the blow up valve after a couple of weeks of use. I was told this could not be patched and to send it back. Since this appeared to be a design flaw that would recur on the replacement, I decided to see if I could deal with it. When I searched for possible products to fix the air bed, I found Coghlan's 8880 Airstop,Coghlan's 8880 Airstop is easy to use, it has an applicator attached to the inside of the lid (you will never lose it), which is handy, but I needed to get the product into the vinyl seam around the round valve and the applicator did not seem to be the right tool for that job. Instead, I used a large kitchen hypodermic needle type device called a "flavor injector" (don't tell my wife), designed to inject marinade into meat. The flavor/8880 Airstop injector worked exceptionally well for this repair, at the cost of one of the injector needles (clogged when I tried to clean it), but the rest of the flavor injector cleaned completely. After injecting Coghlan's 8880 Airstop around the valve and inspecting to making sure it was where it needed to be, I stood it on end to allow it to dry, which it does in just a few minutes. The repair worked exceptionally well, the air bed now holds air, does not leak at all. Upon inspection, the repair looks like it is as permanent as it can get.A little did drip down the side of the mattress, which I missed until it had dried. When I examined the drip, it actually appeared to have somehow become a part of the mattress, as if it were not a drip of a foreign substance but actually part of the beds material. Whatever chemical process occurs between Coghlan's 8880 Airstop and PVC is permanent.I bought 2 bottles, thinking I may need more for the repair, I used less than half of the first bottle (or so it appears to my eye). Almost can't wait for another fix to use this on to see if it is this good with everything.

Worked perfect to seal a kids air matress
Anyone who has an air mattress knows that feeling when you have a small leak and have the choice: throw it way or try to fix it. Well in the air mattress I had for my kids I found the leak and figured I would give this a try. Standard cleaning the area, get it nice and dry, apply this sealant, let it harden overnight and it worked perfectly. I was pleasantly surprised as I had already planned I would have to buy another air mattress. The kids use this air mattress likely ~ once per month and it's held for nearly a year. So overall a simple to use repair that has worked great.

It definitely works
I had a split or 2, in my expensive air mattress ( will not throw that queen size away ). I was looking for a glue, or something to seal the split. I found this, checked the reviews. I purchased anyway, & it worked. I applied it to the split, once. Then I applied it 5, minutes later. I left the air mattress flat over night. I woke up blew the air mattress up. I checked where the 2 splits were, they looked sealed. I got on the mattress, layed on it, moved around on it, fell asleep on it, lol. I woke, & i was still up in the air. It definitely works, it’s easy to apply, the durability is AMAZING, & it’s a great price ☺️
