Quality Product! Easy to mount and adjust
Used this kit to mount my basketball hoop on my garage. The kit came with the right parts and easy to follow instructions. The basketball hoop was far enough from roof to not cause damage to my gutter from missed shots. Easy to adjust height.

Doesn’t fit. Junk
Don’t buy. Get a mount from whoever you bought your backboard from.

It works
I was a little concerned about whether this would work on my roof without creating an additional mounting attachment to reinforce the hold. Soo far it has worked perfectly; although we haven't dunked on it yet. Ha

Not for the unskilled or faint of heart
This was a major undertaking.Pro: Pretty sturdy and heavy duty components.Con: Unforgiving design and no way to adjust. We mounted this contraption to the roof of our garage and let me tell you, there's no easy way to do it. Building the mount took hours due to less than optimal and confusing directions. Mounting it to the roof required a lot of roof time so I would NOT recommend it to anyone who is not climbing on roofs regularly and comfortable using tools. But installing the base frame on the roof was the easiest part. Everything after that... major difficulty. There is no way to easily mount the backboard onto the roof assembly. You basically need two (strong) people to raise the backboard on ladders and a third person on the roof to connect it. The only alternative would be to set up scaffolding and even that would prove challenging. The instructions indicate mounting the bracket so that the height of one hole is 106 and 3/4" from the ground. That is virtually impossible given the height of most garage roof lines, and it absolutely was with ours. But the biggest problem of all, was there is NO WAY OF FINE ADJUSTMENT TO LEVEL THE BACKBOARD EITHER HORIZONTALLY OR PLUMB.I cannot believe this was not considered in this product's design phase. So unless you can get the bracket mounted absolutely dead plumb on the roof, and anticipate the weight of the backboard, there is no way you will ever get the backboard level.I used multiple levels and was exceptionally meticulous with measurements, and I was off.Just a poorly thought-out solution.
