Mobilegs are far superior to standard-design crutches and DEFINITELY worth the extra expenditure
I am a busy, active person and am unable to take the time to write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience with these crutches. After breaking my left foot in multiple areas, with my doctor's stern orders for no weight-bearing, I was overwhelmed with how I would get around for the next 12 weeks for work, general activities, caring for my elderly dog, etc. I had been using standard crutches for three days and my underarms were so sore, I was absolutely miserable. Mobilegs were suggested to me by my personal trainer but when I researched them, my first thought was that I could not spend that much for crutches, when standard crutches are 1/3 the price (I have a very high deductible, so they were not covered.) That said, nine weeks later, I will attest that Mobilegs are far superior to standard-design crutches and DEFINITELY worth the extra expenditure, especially if using crutches for more than a few days. The underarm area is large, pliable and adjusts on springs, so the typical pain in the underarm area is negated, even after repeated use. The hand grips are very comfortable and much easier to hold on to, the angle & design completely avoids rubbing in the padded bottom area of the hand and wrist (where I have arthritis that often flares up.) I have had no pain at all. The bottom leg grips are wider and shaped differently than the other style crutches and are very stable. They are easy to transport myself when getting in and out of the car. Wherever I go, these crutches have been a conversation starter - the design is so sleek. After ordering, I received them the following day. I use them for work everyday, going on client appointments, through busy airports, on a recent beach vacation (on the sand) and even to the theater last week, walking 5 blocks from the parking lot. I have been using them daily for 9 weeks with at least 3 weeks left to go; I cannot express how very thankful I am to my trainer who suggested them to me. When I went recently back to the doctor's office for X-rays I asked if they had ever seen Mobilegs crutches. I was surprised at the answer - they said that they have them, but most people will not spend the extra money for them so they don't usually suggest them. If you have pause at the though of the extra cost above regular crutches, I urge you to give them a try - they are worth every penny!

So much better than traditional crutches
So much more comfortable than regular crutches, I lasted two days on regular crutches and had to order these now I’m heading into my fifth week on him. They’re a lifesaver. They’ll definitely be kept and I will offer them to anyone. I know needing crutches in the future, definitely worth the price

Absolute Life Saver
I have a half mile round trip to my desk at work. When I went in for knee surgery to repair my meniscus I was worried about that haul every day on traditional crutches. I happened to find these in my search and they are the only reason I was able to make it in. They are more ergonomic and comfortable on the wrists but the real game changer is the rocking saddles. I was sure traditional crutches were going to wear my armpits raw! 100% recommend if you have any time non weight bearing coming up.

Just spend the money. Your comfort and stability (safety) are worth the extra dough.
I found out about Mobilegs after staring at my crutches that look exactly like the ones I had in second grade. I was dumbfounded that’s how we were still doing things after 30+ years. I mean surely SOMEONE has to have done SOMETHING to improve crutches in all that time! Within one day of receiving the Mobilegs, I went from dreading a trip to the bathroom to PACING BACK AND FORTH while talking on the phone just like I used to do before the ACL was disintegrated. The innovative angled ergo grips are a life (and limb) saver. The under arm ‘things’ are not only much more comfortable and vented, but they are hinged to allow movement when walking! I know what you’re thinking: “but I already have crutches why should I spend $100+?” Because it is not the price of something it is the VALUE of that thing. The difference here is not merely some extra padding and some fancy looks like some of the other “upgraded” crutches you will find. The jump in comfort and stability is not like going from say a Kia to a BMW. These crutches are more like the jump from a tuk tuk in Thailand to a Rolls Royce. I don’t care what income bracket you are in. If you are forced to be on crutches for any length of time, steal from grandmama if you have to get the extra money. Disclaimer: that last sentence was a joke. But if you want to go from balancing on those archaic death sticks to using a pice of equipment that actually feels a part of you, you’re just going to have to find the extra dough. You’ll thank me and the rest of the reviewers here later. The fact that these are not even a paid upgrade option at your typical Ortho center is a crime. Mobilegs should be the new “standard” crutch.

Overall good crutches
These are good not fantastic. They are MUCH more comfortable than traditional crutches but not ten times the price better in my opinion. These rattle exactly like a set of cheap crutches. If you can easily afford these crutches then go for it, if the cost makes you hesitant then I’d say it’s not worth it. Most crutches are just a temporary necessity but if you require them for a longer period of time then this type of investment could also be worth while.
