I haven't bought these yet, but if your detergent has any fabric conditioners in it, it'll affect absorbency even if you don't use a fabric softener sheet in the dryer. You can try washing them with vinegar, or with baking soda and salt, which can strip the fabric conditioners out. Also, some cities put softeners in their water if it's too mineral-heavy, which can have the same effect even if you don't use any yourself.

I have both and am also a medium in Thinx hiphugger. Thinx's are somewhat prettier but they both work the same way, and Thinx is more than twice the cost.

Likely it will hold that amount. With my endometriosis, I'm losing about 4 oz a day, about 120-140 ml a day, so I change mine mid-day as a precaution.
