Excellent extra bonus set for skin colors. And brown dark shading. Not really for grevy scales. Dryers quickly comes with one good paintbrush.

I love these. Work well with real mineral watercolors.

You can't go wrong with Derwent and this particular collection puts the colors you want for flesh tones all in one place. It is however a combination from other collections and if you have an assortment of Derwent paints already you may not need this.

These Derwent paint palettes are always a great buy and value! I have all of them and use them for various projects. Highly recommend.

Not sure how or why the white case inside the box looks like it has been sitting in someone’s basement or art studio. It can’t be given as a gift so I’ll keep it for myself.

I hesitated purchasing because I already have these colors in other pan sets. But, come'on - who wants to tote around 3 sets? These are perfection in terms of skin tones. I love them & glad I didn't talk myself out of them.

I bought this for traveling. Its Good

I have almost all the series of Derwent “watercolor” pans that they have. This, so far, is the most disappointing. I don't quite understand how this is on the pricier side among them but it really does not give the tones indicated in the color guide. I would not recommend it if you are meaning to add it to your “watercolor” collection. It does really seem just some “colored charcoals.”

Ich war zuerst skeptisch, Hab mir die Palette jedoch nach einigem hin und her gegönnt!In erster Linie bin ich auch damit zufrieden, vor allem die Unterschiede der verschiedenen Farben von Derwent finde ich sehr interessant!! Außer Derwent kenne ich tatsächlich keinen einzigen ArtSupplies- Anbieter, der auf die geniale Idee 💡 käme, innerhalb einer Palette die unterschiedlichen Farben verschiedener Linienzu Vereinen! So finden wir hier nicht nur "gewöhnlich" Aquarellfarben, hier Inktense genannt, da sie einmal aufgetragen nicht mehr ablösbar und somit sehr Tinten(=ink)ähnlich sind! Für Anfänger nicht ideal, aber dafür lassen sich TOLLE SCHICHTEN AUFBAUEN!! (=Lasuren!)Außerdem sind hier Aquarellfarben mit Bleianteilen enthalten, was die Farben nicht nur abdunkelt und gedeckter macht, sondern auch teilweise RADIERBAR!! GENIAL 👌Von diesen Farben mit Bleianteil hätte ich.mir VIEL MEHR gewünscht, leider sind nur 2 enthalten was ich SEHR SCHADE fand! Dafür hätte man die Pastelltöne getrost weglassen können 🤷🏼‍♀️Ein weiterer Wermutstropfen ist, dass alle Hauttöne (denn es ist tatsächlich ein Hauttonset und ich wollte es auch hauptsächlich dafür verwenden!) UNGLAUBLICH ROTSTICHIG sind und man es einfach nicht schafft ein Bild zu malen, in dem das Portait nicht aussieht als hätte es zu lange im Solarium gelegen 🤣Da wären ein paar neutralere oder gar kühle Brauntöne echt ein Gamechanger gewesen @😩Aber hey man kann nicht alles haben und so eine rötliche hautfarbe kann ja auch sehr interessant aussehen wenn sie gewollt ist 👍Alles in allem bereue ich den Kauf wirklich nicht und experimentiere noch heute sehr gerne mit Dem Set 😉

These Derwent palettes are great, they’re just a little bit different and fun to use whilst being functional and practical. The palette is great, easy to use and versatile with a fabulous water brush and sponge. This set also comes with a 3B graphic pencil, Dark Onyx pencil and Derwent drawing pencil in terracotta. You won’t be getting bright colours, you’ll find the brighter selection in an Inktense palette but this is great for drawing and shading, practising figure work etc. Go on, you know you want to.

This set pairs brilliantly with the water soluble charcoal set, some overlap obviously but you only need the two, a small sketchbook and water brushes for a happy day - and a light dayYou will need to think more and adjust your technique, the differences between the shades are extremely subtle
