Kept my nephew occupied
Got this for my 5yr old nephew for his birthday. He loved it! Luckily it's a summer birthday and he was able to dig outside, which helped keep the house clean. It does have a dish to use, but let's be real, it's easier and more realistic to dig outside of constraints. It kept him busy for a good amount of time and now he takes his Dino tooth everywhere!

May Geo always a win
Nat geo always has great activities for kids. Great hands on things that help them learn. Sometimes they're a little pricier than what I feel they should be for it is and what you get.

Items matched the product description
I purchased this item for my nieces 7th birthday. She loved it! Had a great time excavating the fossil. It took some time to get this done and I had to keep encouraging her to be persistent and think of different ways to go about it. The tools in the kit worked well. She chiseled away at it as is then added water to help soften the rock and keep the dust down. When she moved on from the fossil she spent time looking through the book. The cherry on top was definitely the fossilized poop! Overall a great value and product.
