Venus Fly Traps
This is the good stuff. I highly recommend it. As you can see, my first bunch of Venus fly traps over grew. I just separated that bunch of venus fly traps into a bigger flower pot. All of those Venus Fly Traps are from the first picture. I separated them March 15 2025. If you notice there's new growth already. They just came out of dormancy since December. I've been using this dirt since they were little babies.

Bang for the buck and quality
This is a great mix for Venus flytraps as you can see from my pictures. First one was early spring and second one is from November 2nd. It works great my traps loved it and have grown really well. It’s soft and nicely aerated but the perlite seems to rise when it rains. I think perlite just does that as I used a different brand before and the perlite also rose. Definitely wet it before use and be sure to rinse it so you can get the dissolved solids out of it as you can see. Price wise is also great getting 8 quarts for 16-1$ is better than what other companies offer. Highly recommend just bought more will create an update probably next year again if I encounter any issues.

Easy solution for correct growing media for carnivorous plants.
This is an easy one. I bought a venus flytrap that I wanted to put in a small terrarium to thrive for more than a couple of weeks, and needed the proper medium for its survival. As one who had previously cared for a small a aquarium with several flytraps, I am familiar with the care and feeding of these plants, but no longer had the proper materials to economically create my own mix. So, despite this being relatively expensive for what is provided, it’s the correct combination of soils and amendments, and I don’t have to store partially-used bags of DIY materials that would probably get dumped on the floor or eventually just thrown away.Sometimes it’s smarter to just pay the $ and get just what you need rather than trying to save money by rolling your own and winding up with too much stuff.

It’s Dirt
Dirt in a bag. Seems to be okay for my fly traps. They are still alive.

Plant is alive
I was skeptical to order from this vendor as the only other review said it came dead. I'm not sure most people know that venus fly traps go through a dormancy period where some of the heads die back (the winter from about December until March) it is a 3 month time period, roughly. The plant has to be mushy for it to technically be dead. The black heads don't mean it's dead. But my plant came and it's beautiful! I repotted it into my own pot because I planned to and had the carnivorous soil ready in it's new pot. It did come with a pot for you to repot but definitely need to get your own carnivorous plant soil to fill that pot. The brown pot pictured is what came with the plant. I love it! Great product.
