I have several of these hoops in other sizes for my machines but wanted one for smaller projects. I was happy to find this at a great discount compared to other sellers. It worked great for adding a small embroidery on a quilt block. It hooped easily and the camera on my machine helped determine perfect placement. Yes, it is correct that the marking strips are not exact because you may not get the top and bottom of the hoop lined up exactly. It a little hit or miss but if you have a camera or pinpoint placement, this helps with getting your design set in the correct spot. Be careful not to pinch your fingers!

It’s so easy to hoop with magnetic hoops. Just watch your fingers when you first learn to use it. It can really pinch. I’ve added this size hoop to my collection. I use this size the most except the large hoop for edge to edge quilting. It’s a real game changer for my arthritic hands.

The 5x7 size was a wishlist item that I purchased when I saw it on sale. I have the 8x12 magnetic hoop I bought for doing end to end quilting on my embroidery machine but found it very large when I want to do smaller projects. This smaller size is so practical for doing monograms on big fluffy towels and even end to end quilting on smaller projects like table runners and placemats.

This hoop is a great if you dont need exact placement, tight stabilizer, and a correctly aligned top and bottom. The rulers that they provide (for you to stick on the outer hoop edges) are in centimeters not inches. You need to place the 0 at the center of your out edges... where there is no center marked. The hoop is not an exact measurement for you to use inches or centimeters to find the center. The magnets are strong. So strong that it snaps in place before you can align anything. And you can't see the frame underneath to see the edges. Feeling for it only goes so far. It goes on crooked ever time and you can't just force it in place because it shifts your fabric and stabilizer. If hooping just stabilizer, you can't easily adjust it to get it taught (tear away).This maybe great for quilting but it is a nightmare for regular embroidey. I like exact placement. Im guessing they assume all machines have a sensor to auto find your marked center and adjustboth x and y axis. That is why they give you center stickers. Well....some us dont have those fancy machine.My machine is acknowledge the hoop correctly.No worth 150$ for all the headaches it gave me. Never got to sew with it.Plus, is heavy. If you are hooping a heavy item that will add more weight to the arm, your machine might not move freely.Returned it.

Abstraction du prix, qui est très élevé, va sur ma Dream Machine, économie du pelon que l'on peut déplacer, et ainsi pouvoir coller de plus près les motifs, je recommande si le prix ne vous arrête pas.
