La Dunkerquoise French Waffle Cookies - Chocolate

I was very excited to get these becuse the box was very pretty and they looked just like the cookies I had eaten when I was in France and Belgium. I was super happy because the ones on amazon are exacxtly the same and totally fabulous tasting! They are rich and buttery and the chocolate flavor is divine! They are a little pricy but worth the money. They would be perfect served with ice cream or fruit and a little caramel or raspberry sauce sauce, or you can sprinkle powdered sugar on them or cinnamon or whatever you can imagine. They are a bit fragile so chances are a few cookies may be crushed or broken when they arrive but the majority of them were fine and it didn't affect the taste. They come in three little plastic packets, each has 6 cookies. I think that having them in three packets is nice since you don't have to open them all at once and the cookies will retain more cripsness and freshness this way. I think most people will like these cookies and the box is very pretty so they would make a nice gift too.

Multiple, sealed packages within the box helps preserve freshness.

Looked so good to eat but hard to enjoy the cookies because they arrived smashed in an envelope.

Not crisp like I wanted, taste bland, chocolate very unimpressive.

Pretty expensive for the quantity of product.

They were meant to be a gift, but I ate them.

They were broken and stale.
