Love this product!
Excellent product! I bought several very expensive harnesses to assist our 70 lb dog that lost all mobility in her hind legs! They were difficult to put on and lacerated her tender skin even though I put sheepskin around them plus the support of her spine was not there!. I am so pleased with this product that I bought 3 of them to use together on her front, middle, and hind! Easy to slide on and off going with the and fur. Love the velcroe closure. She is very well supported when we lift her ! The quality is excellent, firm with soft padding and they arrived very quickly!

Didn't work for our cat
We recently had a cat hit by a car, which left him with a fractured pelvis. The cure our vet proposed is surprisingly to just rest it off, apparently it's not as big a deal for a cat as it would be for a human. Actually he was back to normal in 5 weeks. Lucky little guy! (Don't worry we're sticking to him like glue when he's in the yard now, we learned our lesson) So back to the recovery period... we got him a dog crate to keep him immobile. He was just letting his waste flow where he lay, on pee pads, the first few days of course due to the pain and the pain meds, but as soon as he seemed a little more like himself I thought he'd like to be able to use the litter instead. We got this and tried several times to use it to support his rear end for him after placing him in the litter. I think it's more a dog tool though. Dogs are stiff, you can pick them up by one end without their shape changing, like a couch LOL.... cats are more liquidy and prone to pouring downward. When we held his waist aloft with this, everything that stuck out in front and behind the hoist dangled like cooked spaghetti. He did take some weight on his hands, but the floppiness kept him from achieving a good position. We hoped he'd catch on eventually and use his muscles to participate in the procedure but he just kept oozing like he's made of pudding lol... and in a couple more days he was able to stand and use the litter without help anyway. My advice is to do a little try on your animal with a makeshift version of this, like a shirt, and make sure they'll react properly. If they do this is great! Stiff enough and smooth enough you can slide it under them gracefully. No weird smell. And having sturdy handles is so important, as using a shirt or such things risks dropping the animal if you lose your grip.Err on the side of hoisting them too low rather than too high. If their feet don't touch the ground they'll be nervous and also have trouble moving around. And keep in mind, if you're using it for toileting, they'll likely need you or an assistant to hold their tail out of the way.

Great stair aid for older dogs.
Works great for helping our 30 pound dog climb stairs on his bad arthritis days. He’s pretty sensitive to touch so I wasn’t sure how he’d handle it. He seemed to love the assistance. Much easier than carrying him.

Dog is supported and happy.
This product is amazing. My 35 dog could not jump onto the bed any longer. she’s 14. We tried stairs and she uses them on them but a no go onto bed. Ipurchased these as a last resort and voila..up she went. I love them..soft but with strong handles..she put her front legs on a bench ..I lift up her back legs using them on lifter and was successful. Straps are adjustable..it’s great?
