Arrived a few minutes ago. Because it's new and under warranty I didn't baby it. About half full of refrigerator made ice (wanning moon shape). Added some water so half the ice was in water. Suggested mode is "P" for pulse, I rotated the control knob to the right OMG, low medium high medium low, about that fast. The shredding ripping noises it made were maybe the blades cavitating in air. The ice crushed into fine packable particles, all uniform, I have to guess it "processed" the ice before the third speed, left a hallow area where the blade was spinning in like 2 seconds. Let me be clear the blender shredded the ice and water into one consistent size in less than 2 seconds. It wasn't slushy it was dry shredded ice. I don't know what it is capable of with fruit or whatever one might want to blend but I am a fan of flavoring soft destroyed ice shavings. I was given a "samurai" 400 watt blender years ago, stacked blades, I still had to have as much water as ice and then shake it around to get the ice broken up. NO comparison at all. Anthter wins hands down. I will get some video of it soon. The owner's manual says things like don't run for 2 minutes and if it suddenly shuts off it's thermally protected just wait 10 minutes. What is tougher than all ice no water? Maybe syrup, oats, flour, ice cream and ice together would make it work. Let me get back to you on that one. But it crushed ice well before I found the correct dial position. Impressive no bad smell, no smoke, just purreed ice in less than 2 seconds no standing water in the pitcher when it was done. I didn't think it was close to finished but it was.

I only used this blender 3 times total since purchasing, the last time being last week, which was still within return period. I went to use it last night and it no longer works! How convenient that it stopped working for no reason on earth but "Im past the return period" so I can't return a defective product. I did not immerse it in water, I did not drop it, I did not do anything to damage it and now I'm stuck with a broken blender that I cannot even exchange. Amazon's response to this is that I need to contact the seller about their warranty, and there's no info. One week past the return period through no fault of my own and I'm out of luck. Garbage way for Amazon to handle this.UPDATE: The seller luckily sent a replacement. It just arrived and it has been determined that something went wrong with the base of the unit for sure. I tried both blender tops on the new unit and they both worked. I tried them both on the original unit base and the blades do NOT spin. I have no idea how the blender went bad from only 3 light duty uses in one month plus one week, but I'm glad that the seller honored the warranty as defective. That would have been atrociously unfair of Amazon if I had gotten stuck with this Issue resolved, but I'll see how this ones fares!

I like the glass pitcher (instead of plastic) i need to blend the smoothie for a longer time than with my old cuisinart blender. the pitcher does NOT show the lines of measurements in cups, to know how much liquid to put. (usually blender pitcher shows the 1 cup , 2 cup, 3 cup lines ingraved in the glass or plastic pitcher.

I use a blender every day. Had a Nutra bullet that stopped working, but the worst thing is the rubber seal on the lids have to be painstakinglyremoved, cleaned and replaced for each next use. Hard to remove and replace the rubber seal. If you don’t know to do this, because it’s hard to see that there is a rubber seal. Food residue accumulates, so I had to buy new lids. As I didn’t know they were there I cleaned the lids, but not the rubber seals. One of the seals came loose. Tried a fork and a knife and a shish kebab skewer to try to get that piece back in and out without destroying it. The lid and the seal were gray. The residue was disturbing, had to order new part. The cup that holds the food is plastic, it comes with three, and two of them were cracked in the first month.The anthter blender looks lovely on my counter. it comes with a base, and a very sturdy glass upper piece and lid. Very easy to clean every time you use it. The price is just right, it pulses, has six stainless steel blades and multiple speeds. since I have to blend smoothies every day, it is nice, to have everything blended in two minutes. Then the top part gets removed and I pour out the smoothies. next step is I remove the upper piece from the base and pour in some warm water with a bit of dishwasher fluid. After a quick wipe of the outside I replace the upper piece and turn it on. After one minute it is clean, So I remove the upper piece and spray it down with my kitchen sink hose.The whole process just takes 3 to 4 minutes from start to clean finish. It is rated in the first 25 best blenders on Amazon. I would not buy anything else after having used the Anther. The upper piece made of sturdy glass is a bit heavy, so I wouldn’t trust children taking care of the process. I like a sturdy opera piece so this is really hardly worth mentioning.
