Lubegard77012 Fuel System Booster Cleaner - 16 oz.

Lubegard has been producing quality products for a long time. This one is no exception. Quality fuel system cleaner for a very reasonable price. Used on several cars in the past and recently used on a 2018 rav4 with 40k. Didnt notice a big difference but didnt expect it either on a car with lower miles. Plan on doing this once a year as preventative maint.

Must have to clean and boost Fuel system. Dropped in on empty tank and then filled up the gas. The change could be felt after few miles of driving. The engine noise has greatly reduced and the pickup also increased. Before using this on my Camry hybrid the MPG needle would show 30 MPG and now its shows between 35 and 40 MPG on the same stretch of road that I drive daily. The product has good reviews on Oil Forums and that prompted me to try it. Though the price is on the higher side, i recommend to anyone who want to have their vehicles for longer periods.

I added this product to 15 gallons of Shell V-Power 93 octane in my Audi. My car normally runs very well on V-Power alone but it REALLY came to life with the Lubegard additive in the tank. I've used strait octane boosters in the past and the car performed in a similar manner with the Lubegard. This additive is one of the few with an upper cylinder lubricant which provides lubrication to several parts of the direct injection system as well as the upper cylinder walls. I plan on using this additive twice a year.

I like the product but they need to do a better job with the packaging. This is my second time ordering three of them and they again arrived all dented up. They did not include any padding in the box so all three of them must have been banging into each other in the oversized box during shipping. This is a combustible liquid and they need to do a better job of packaging these for shipping. What if one them started leaking and then the metal cans banging into each other caused a spark? Additionally, there was nothing on the outside of the box to indicate that the items inside were combustible!!!

I have used their transmission additives for years and have automatic transmissions with over 300k on them that still work like new. I was not disappointed with this fuel system cleaner,great for fuel system maintainence. Cured the light throttle pinging that my truck has done for years and the dealer and others have been unable to solve. Will use as part of my service from now on.

As a past Service Tech for a large school district fleet of gas powered vehicles; I am familiar with in tank pump failures. Most of these failures are related to lack of filter changes and our oxygenated dry fuels of today. This product if used every 12,000 miles or so will ensure a smooth idle and proper lubrication of your in tank electric fuel pump. Remember; pumps always fail when the tank is full. This make the change out much more aggravating and difficult. I would strongly suggest the addition of this product as a normal practice of Routine Maintenance.
