I have probably 50+ smart devices in my home and started the journey way back when they all first came out. After SO MANY other competitors and options I bit the bullet and went with this. They are MUCH more stable than anything I have used. Not a single disconnect or issue after several power losses to the home. They are bright, the color is spot on, and it works seamlessly with Alexa, Smartthings, and the app on the phone.I've replaced nearly every recessed light in my home and found the fit to be MUCH more snug (the spring-loaded options on other lights hang out of the hole slightly and just don't look as good). The color range is much wider on these as well.They are absolutely more expensive than some other brands, but they are also worth the investment to make your life easier. Trust me. I cant recommend these enough!

Not sure if I really needed the colors, but they are nice and work well. Quickly set up with their motion sensors and works great!

The media could not be loaded. I love these lights. I wish I would have bought them sooner. They were easy to install with a little patience. We connected them to our TV and our movie experience has just been taken to the next level. It’s also nice to be able to control the lights from my phone, so ideal for today’s lifestyle.

Our neighbors have two 14" solar tubes in their living room...and they look great! However, the recent 2" hail storm we had here, damaged them both. That was enough to talk us out of installing them in our 'dark' living room. So, I opted for these and was not interested in colors..but simulated daylight. I also opted for the cans....as they were a lot less expensive and I like the permanent solution better. And if you look at drywall incorrectly, it gets everywhere. I also ordered a hub (half of what it was on here) and installed them both. The lights and the app work perfectly! I did not run a hard wired on/off switch. I ordered the remote switch from here, that works great. Without the hub, they work...thru bluetooth..but they are VERY limited. For the price of these bulbs, why pay for limited use? Get the hub, you wont' regret. My entire reason for these lights was to simulate sunrise and sunset daylight in our living room. Now, with the app and HUB I can do this...and it works great!Are they worth the initial price? IDK...only time will tell. But all of my friends and reviews say they are...that they last a long time. So time will tell. As of right now, we are VERY happy with them and as long as you use the HUB along with them, I do recommend them!

I purchased these to add to the 40+ other Hue lights around my house. These were the perfect solution for our covered patio as the closed design will prevent the issue we had with wasps, bees, etc. flying into the open housings. Outside of the initial physical installation, setup in the Hue app was a breeze. The colors are vibrant although- in my opinion- not quite the same as the color ambiance bulbs in our regular recessed cans.As for the installation, I wish the instructions showed a bit more on how these lights are held in place to assist in the installation process. After about 15 minutes of trial and error, we got them in and they've held in place without any drooping so far.

I started using Philips Hue lights years ago. From the original starter kit, I gradually augmented my setup to include light bulbs, canned lights, outdoor lights, light strips, sensors, remotes, and more. The hardware is high quality. The app improved a lot of the years. 100% recommend this product, either in its own right or as part of your existing smart home system. Only downside, it is pricy, so I get it piece by piece.
