Tasty and Hot
When the item arrived, I thought the packet was a bit small. I tried one, I didn't think it was that hot so I ate another. The heat started to build up but the flavour was also growing on me so I carried on popping them in my mouth. The flavour was really nice so I had a few more. It started to get very hot so I stopped. All was good for a few moments then the heat kicked in. Oh my goodness! Yeah man they are mega hot. It really was hot, my teeth were also burning. The good thing was that after a few glasses of water I recovered and laughed about my experience. I thought it was all over. Next I started shaking as if my body had gone into shock. This went on for 5 to 10 mins.To summarise, they are tasty and very hot. It was an interesting experience. I'd recommend them as the burn isn't long lasting and recovery is quick.Great for a lads night in with beers.

Meh
The flavour is lacking quite a bit, doesn't really taste of much. The heat is OK, and does build but still not hellfire level, a good level for enjoyable snack. If they could ramp up the flavour then these would be some great spicy snacks. Cost is a bit much condisdering it's only 80g of peanuts.

Very hot but still tasty
The heat of things like this will always be very subjective. Some people will find these near unbearable whereas others will be fine with them. I think the best way to describe the heat are as someone pointed out, to compare to a curry heat as most people will then be able to draw a comparison. I felt these were on the level of a hot Madras. Take a handful and they initially feel is fine and the taste is nice, but then the heat kicks in and for me was probably as hot as I'd want to go before it got unpleasant. I think the average person would find these really hot and amusing, but probably not want to go back to very quickly.Overall I thought they were nice and lived up to their hype. A manufacturer of things like this has to draw a balance between making something tasty and very spicy to being so hot it becomes unpleasant for most people, which would ultimately prevent any future sales. In summary I think the majority of people will find these a fun and very hot snack.

so if you can handle a jalfrezi you can easily handle these
I bought these with the ghost pepper pork scratchings, and I polished off the whole bag of scratchings very quickly, please see my other review if you want to check those out.A similar story with the Reaper peanuts. I mentioned in the other review that the hottest stuff I have had is the Pain 100% hot sauce which again, is far hotter than these peanuts. The burn is there, and is probably there for approx. 5 minutes, a little bit of mouth watering due to the heat, but not exactly drooling... The heat I would give these are probably around a pepper in a jalfrezi curry... so if you can handle a jalfrezi you can easily handle these. If you are not used to chillis, then yes, these will be very hot - my wife would find these unbearable... I find them very tolerable, and happily eat them in handfuls... no where near tears, or having to run to get milk or any of that stuff... it is just a small burn.. not that bad at all.I think the taste is fine - they just taste like peanuts to be fair with maybe a little 'dryness' to the flavour... you know the flavour you get of most 'chilli' flavoured things.. I have never had the reaper chilli.. and have not dne the challenges... one chip, chocolate etc... so can not testify how it compares taste wise or heat wise (but can guess the heat of these is 100x less than the actual pepper is). They were ok.. would happily use these as a roulette game with friends that do not like heat.. but if I were to get a few, I would barley notice to be honest... :(

Kept us alive during a cold winter. 7/10
During the long cold winter of 2019, our boiler broke down due to overuse. In desperation we pleaded with our cruel London landlord and, as is typical with these types, he wasn't about to put his hand in his pocket and fix our issue just like that. Call out a plumber? No way man! Instead, he sent us a little black bag of peanuts with instructions to have one a day and enjoy the results. Obviously we thought he was insane, (he was, just for unrelated reasons ) so on a particularly frosty morning we opened the pack and pappa, being the bravest and strongest popped a tiny, innocuous peanut onto his tongue. He instantly turned a deep shade of red and, after a minute or 2 of convulsions and sweating, plus some barely audible words that can't be shared in this review, his breath was so hot that the room was noticeably 5 or 6 degrees warmer, some of us were even able to take our scarves and hats off, the next few days were a learning curve of how many nuts we'd need to heat the house fully, we even hooked up a hose system that bubbled warm peanut breath air through the bath water to give a slightly odd smelling but toasty jacuzzi effect to bathtimes. We even learned to give the cat a few cut up nuts. in amongst the dreamies in the morning to maintain a warm baseline ambient temperature throughout the day. We have all lost sensation in our tastebuds and our soft furnishings are constantly damp with chilli nut infused sweat. But otherwise these can't be faulted, and the eyeball spasms will pass in time I'm sure. But for the savings on heating bills and the fact we now only need to eat plain rice and white bread as nothing has flavour anymore so shopping costs have dropped right down, I can't recommend these strongly enough. There is one downside which is when they reach your downside but that doesn't need any more details, other than to say, "heated seat" doesn't even begin to describe it!
