Cuts great. Grass collector works well. Can't complain
I got this to replace my manual lawnmower (as in it was powered by pushing, not that this is automatic like the robo-lawn mowers). Compared to that, this cuts so well and easily, at the desired length and has no problem with slight damp or wet grass and flattening the grass with the wheels instead of cutting it. It does a great, even cut to the adjustable height (there are only I think 4 heights possible though, maybe 5 but I find I only use one length anyway (3) so that doesn't seem to matter.Only slightly annoying thing is the power cable is always out so you have to keep slinging it over shoulder and whipping it out of the way to make sure you don't mow it yourself. However, this is still better than having some sort of retractable thing that goes wrong so not taking a star off for it but it does mean I can only really do my lawn efficiently by starting in one place and going back and forth from near to far of the power socket I use. If I wanted to do my lines up and down instead, for example, then I would have to move more wire each trip which could get annoying as it's a long wire.

Lighter, quieter and cuts better
I finally replaced a Flymo (roller not hover) mower that had served me well for 20 years! That was a 37cm cut and so I was going down in size a bit. This one is definitely better in that it is much quieter than the old one and does not scalp the lawn. It is also lighter. Height adjustment is easy. While the other one had a roller you do get those lines on your lawn if you go up and down forwards).Only negatives are that the instructions are not great. In effect the handle needs to the attached which hinges at the point it attaches to the mower and also hinges mid way up the handle. Each can be loosened and unhinged separately for moving it and storing it. Assembly is a bit trial and error to connect the lower bolts correctly and to make sure you don't misroute the cable when you do the middle bolts. Undoing and doing up the bolts is a bit fiddly. If you want to fold the thing up then you need to unlock the middle bolts or both the middle and lower bolts and then bolt back up before use and this process is again a bit fiddly. So I tend to leave it in usable position when stored which means it takes up more space.Other negative is that the grass collector is in two parts and does not lock together very well. Seems well enough to work but feels a bit flimsy. But the rest of the mower feels well built.I can't comment personally but it does seem the 34cm is a better bet than the smaller one (32cm) which seems to be of a different (poorer) design as the things that people complain of about that do not apply to the 34cm version. I was originally going to get the smaller model as I thought the difference of another 2cm in going up in price to the 34cm was not worth it. But based on other reviews then I am glad I did.

If you want a reliable and dependable mower for a small to medium garden this is a very good choice.
The Bosch Rotak 34R is a corded mower and needs its 10-metre power cable to be connected to a mains socket that provides a very respectable 1300-watt motor. The build quality is what you would expect from Bosch and being built in the UK makes getting parts easier and cheaper should they be required. A metal blade is used on the 34R as opposed to plastic proving a good cut and allowing for the blade to be sharpened if needed. The 34cm cutting width make it ideal for small to medium lawns and for taking up less storage. There are 5 different cutting heights, this is pretty standard for mower of this size and ranges from 20 to 70mm which is perfectly adequate to adjust to the changing length and conditions of your lawn. While the blade and grass box are not the biggest available, they make the Rotak 34R extremely light and easy to use. It will glide around the lawn effortlessly and is particularly good at corners and edges. The inset front heels also helpful to get close to walls and edges or tight areas. The grass combs, sharp blade and powerful motor will give a nice clean cut. The rollers are a nice option and will give the lawn a very professional striped look.It has all the other standard features one would expect from a quality lawnmower such as a good range of cut height options and a decent steel blade. It comes standard with a 2-year guarantee which you can extend to 3 years. After-sales service is good and replacement parts are easy to get and well priced.Feedback from customers that have purchased this model is extremely positive. There are very few negative comments and most people are very happy with their choice.Overall I think this is a fantastic mower and I encourage anyone looking for a simple mower that gets the job done quickly and efficiently to seriously consider this mower. In fact I think it’s the best value wheeled corded small mower you can get right now!
