18 months or so in our small newt pond and this little pump has really impressed. Once installed, it just gets on with it.On cloudy days it produces a fairly strong stream of circulation bubbles that I was actually expecting to see on sunny days.On sunny days and in direct sunlight, it produces a most impressive stream that really gets the water circulating up from the bottom.The solar panel seems to be of good quality and has not discoloured or turned milky as many do left outdoors.As another reviewer mentioned, I have set it up in an upturned sealed food container with small ventilation holes drilled in the lid to allow a good supply of air to the pump, but no moisture to get to it. This is then protected from daylight in a small enclosure to keep the temperature inside the container under control.The flow of air through the container ensures that temp inside and out remain in balance and no condensation ever forms inside. Just a little thought, small amount of effort, and inexpensive materials ensure a relible pump for years to come.When the pump eventually fails, would I buy another? Absolutely.

I have a little wildlife pond that has been getting a build up of algae on. Having looked online an oxygenator was suggested so I looked through Amazon for a solar version and came across this one, read the reviews and most seemed positive and found it effective so I decided to try it and I'm not disappointed! Today was very sunny so perfect for setting it up which was very easy to do straight away the pump started so I popped the tube into the pond and it creates a wonderful calm bubbling that's not too strong it will deter wildlife but enough to keep movement on the water which is just what I needed. I can't say yet how well it works on algae but paired with aquatic plants I'm sure it'll improve. Highly recommend!

Seems to work only when the sun shines, not in dull daylight. The solar panel is slightly raised in the corner so may not last long. Have read that the pump could be put in a plastic box to keep rain off, so put a flower pot over it. The airstone though does the job so am satisfied with this product.

I really am very impressed with this solar powered air pump. The set up is very easy and even in weak sunlight conditions, produces a satisfying stream of bubbles to the surface.We bought this for a 500 litre pond with this size of pump being perfect to add oxygen to the water and also help circulate the deeper water within. Larger ponds would require additional pumps strategically placed.I would deem this type of solar pump far more beneficial for the welfare of a pond than the floating varieties that just add movement from the upper layers of water and do not mix the water effectively creating stagnant areas within.Build quality appears very good and instructions clear and precise. You will need to contain your pump in some form of waterproof container with ventilation to prolong its life from harsh weather conditions. Ours is simply placed in a sealed food container with the appropriate holes added for air tube and cable plus not forgetting the essential ventilation in the form of a series of much smaller holes situated on the sides of the container in order for the pump to take in air effectively from outside. This also reduces the humming noise from the pumps operation considerably, not that it was a particular issue to begin with.Overall, I am really happy with this product considering the modest cost. I have now purchased a second one as an immediate replacement when this one eventually ceases to function. It is now approaching its second year of continuous use. Money well spent even if I had a years use from it. Just remember, it does need protecting from the outside elements and will last a lot longer. Thank you.

This is an excellent product! Picks up the sun well and lots of bubbles as a result. I'm delighted with this after buying a Lunekuck product that was very poor .

Very easy to set up, worked immediately even though it wasn't particularly bright. Exceeded my expectations, when the sun shone it cleared the water in my little pond, the pigeons use it as a bath😡 so it gets cloudy. Hope it keeps working as well so that green algae won't grow.
