DOES IT WORK ?
AS a person with 30 years of pain & many serious operations on the spine this appealed as it was to be used a little at a time increasing with usage. It arrived immediately & was well packed. It is nice soft blue suede like material, looks like a neck rest on planes but 3 of them stacked together. Fastens loosely around the neck with velcro- just practice as it can only be done by 'feel' or another person. Has a tube with a bulb at the end like they used to use when pumping up the cuff for blood pressure testing. Operation is simple as are instructions and all looks & feels good quality. I have only used it for 3 days when I write this- about 10/15 minutes three times each day. It is an acquired feeling BUT we are talking about a device at reasonable cost that is to 'stretch' the neck and back vetabrae to release pressure on nerves- a sort of mobile 10th century torture rack but in a smaller size. Anyone with sciatica or such like knows the pain is life changing and can get worse before better and need surgery that is risky and has side effects- I have a left leg paralysed from the knee down with a foot that does not work at all but still has acute pain from a rogue nerve firing off from day to day SO I got this device out of many options because the 1st one I ordered of another supplier thru Amazon vanished so got speedy refund, invested a bit more and the info I read on this one seemed very clear & aligned (pun?) with what I needed. SO after 3 days I have less neck pain when doing the same things as before I used it. Over use is likely to do nothing extra but may cause problems so follow the guidance/peoples reviews. After 3 days I am both impressed AND convinced that this product will give me relief from pain I havent got from anything else including MORPHINE tabs which I take 150mg/day on prescription. There are no guarentees but I am totally happy with my product and hope it continues to do its job. TOP PURCHASE if you have the type(s) of pain/problems mentioned. 11/10

Well worth the small amount of money!
I am a GP (family doctor) who is lucky enough to have bilateral a C5/ C6 disc osteophyte with severe formanial stenosis (in plain English this means I have a slipped disc on both sides of my neck that has hardened with calcium, permenently trapping my nerves on both sides very badly). I get severe pain from my neck into the back of my shoulders and sometimes get weakness in my arms. I have found that manual physical therapy is beneficial in the short term, but costs a lot.I bought this device due to a particularly bad flare up including a weak right arm. I have used it for 20- 30 minutes twice a day for 3 days. After the first use my pain had eased and I could turn my head enough to drive a car. After 2-3 uses the power is now returning in my arm, which normally takes a few weeks. This won’t cure my problem, but so far it is one of the best treatments I have tried. Even though it is likely to only provide short term benefits, I can use it as much as I like so in a way is able to maintain longer-term pain reduction. It is also a significant amount less money than a single appointment with a private physiotherapist or chiropractor.I am giving this 4 stars instead of 5 purely because I think the Velcro pads could be positioned in a better place. I am a well built man due to regular weight training with a collar size of 16.5- 17 inches. Despite this the straps are having to be placed with about 1/2 to 1/3 of the Velcro making contact to get it tight enough. In summary, I would advise anyone with chronic (long-term) neck pain to give this a go. It is cost effective and involves no medication. Combine this with the right regular home exercises and you could have a better quality of life.** The best and most simple exercise for neck pain is... Every night when you go to bed, lie on your back and push your head firmly into the pillow for a couple of seconds. Aim to lift your shoulders off the bed using the backward movement of your head. Repeat this 20 times each night. It strengthens the muscles in the back of the neck that we don’t use during the day allowing the head to be held in a better position without trying.

I had a car accident a number of years back and received very bad whiplash and torn muscles in my back and shoulders
Ordered this after reading reviews as needing something to help with neck pain. I had a car accident a number of years back and received very bad whiplash and torn muscles in my back and shoulders.I still suffer very bad pain at times, massage helps but not always available, painkillers is next in line which I don’t like taking.Received this Neck Traction Collar the next day of order. Put the collar round my neck and pumped it up. Found it to be very comfy, the more it inflates does feel a little strange but you can feel the stretch in neck. I inflate all the way up and then relax watching TV, you can feel the shoulders and neck being seperated, releasing nerves and the pain does get easier. I have tried to use every day and do think that it works, have read some bad reviews and to be honest don’t understand how it did not work unless they were not inflating enough. If you have neck pain then I would recommend that you should at least try it. The price is good and deliver quick, well made and if looked after should last a long time. Will review again in a few more weeks to see how it works out.over time.

Useful as a travel pillow and might help if you recently hurt neck
Brought this on the off chance it could help my mum who has a bad neck. She used it once and didnt like it.I tried it a few times for novelty and it was OK. It would be literally the best neck cushion for an London Australia flight in economy l but as for its use to help the neck I really can't say.If would also be useful if you recently hurt your neck.I will give it a go a few more times and report back but all in all a slightly odd contraption.
