First off.....I am not a fan of most essential oils. Due to my continuing chronic pain, my massage therapist recommended that I try this oil. I was hesitant at first, but she had a bottle on hand and said "please let's just try this and see how it works for you." After applying the oil (mixed with her massage lotion), I felt my back and neck muscles relaxing.Now, I won't tell you that it took all the pain away, but it took enough pain away so I felt like I could tackle a couple of simple errands on the way home. By the time I got home, I felt pretty good. I immediately went on Amazon and ordered bottle for use at home.I keep coconut oil in the house at all times, so I use coconut oil as the carrier oil, but you can use whatever you want for carrier oil or lotion. There is also a "roller ball" of this product on Amazon. I ordered that too, as I have significant pain that shoots across my suboccipital and occipital nerves. It's convenient and I can carry it with me wherever I go. The roller ball does not need a carrier oil or lotion.I go to the massage therapist once a month for chronic pain and she also recommended Dr Hoy's pain relief gel to use in association with this oil. I love being able to move my neck and shoulders after using these pain relief options (Muscle Relief and Dr Hoy's).The muscle relief smell reminds me of Christmas whenever I open the bottle and use some for pain relief. It does contain wintergreen, peppermint, clove bud and helichrysium.The box states that this can be used in a diffuser, or dilute with carrier oil and apply topically. The box also states that it is 100% pure essential oils, it is free of dilutents, toxic chemicals, fillers, preservatives, fragrances and any other synthetics. It is 100% vegan and there is absolutely no animal testing (this is all from the box).I have tried other brands, but always come back to Eden's Garden for the Muscle Relief; the others just don't seem to work as well. I highly recommend you try the small bottle first as oils can get expensive, but if it works for you, you won't regret the purchase and will purchase the larger bottle on your next order. I keep a bottle at home, a bottle with my massage therapist and take a bottle with me to physical therapy for use. *I should note that physical therapy uses a CBD based product and I don't get the same relief with their product.

EDIT: 10/29/23 - got a bottle with a tiny sample bottle of SPARKLING CINNAMON! SMELLS amazing and I know I will find many uses for it around the holiday season!______________________________________________________________________EDIT: I had an issue with it dissipating TOO quickly, as in I could barely smell it. I realized if I LAYERED IT, put some on (and I use FULL strength, no carrier oil), waited about an hour and added some more, it made it last much longer. It still isn't overpowering, I didn't want that, but at least if I put my wrist up to my nose, I can still smell it for hours and that's what I wanted. Not overwhelming, but long lasting.______________________________________________SCENT: It's pleasant, powdery, lightly floral scent, A LITTLE spicy, earthy. Again, it's PLEASANT, but not overtly sexy. I think of Paloma Picasso, more oriental, earthy scents like that, BUT it's not too floral and is the one I use to replace the OLD Eden's Garden Aphrodisiac scent.Strength: I put a few drops on FULL STRENGTH, no carrier oil. It's been about 30 minutes and it's dissipating pretty fast. Still a mild scent, but not much staying power. If I want it to stay mildly noticeable, I have to put on again after about an hour. It is a nice, pleasant scent.PRICE - For amount you receive for price, I feel it should have longer staying power after putting four or five drops on ONCE, not having to repeat in about an hour, especially as I put on full strength. BUT once I put on the second time, it does STAY.

Great scent, very orange smelling with a hint of spice

I don't even know where to begin with reviewing this oil. It's simply amazing. I use it everyday on myself and my kids. A drop or two mixed with a carrier oil on the bottoms of our feet (me after my morning shower, them, after their evening bath) and we haven't really been sick since we started using it (very mild colds here and there). I had purchased this months ago, not exactly knowing what to do with it, then my son got stomach flu. After 6 hours of helplessly watching him vomit and diarrhea all over the place, I remembered that I had bought this oil. I rubbed some of it diluted on his feet, on his belly and diffused it in the room he was resting in. He was able to fall asleep, for about three hours, and amazingly woke up feeling normal. He was even able to eat a little soup and crackers for dinner. I have never seen anyone recover from stomach flu that fast! I have been a believer ever since, and we've used it daily for 6 months, I'm on my fifth or sixth bottle of it. I buy the bigger bottle now and find that Edens Garden has the most reasonable prices and is of the same quality as some of the MLM brands.I have Lupus and my kids were getting sick left and right from school germs, but ever since I started using this oil daily, we've barely been sick. I notice if we feel that we're on the verge of catching something, I'll bump up the oils to twice a day and the illness seems to go away. Recently, my daughter had a canker sore in her mouth and after only one day of applying the oil to the sore, it was gone. There are so many uses for this oil, it should be in everyone's medicine cabinet. I don't particularly like the smell and neither do my kids (some rave about it, but I think it's too earthy), but it doesn't last and the benefits are well worth it. I personally do a 25% dilution with fractionated coconut oil (bought here on Amazon) as the carrier (so about 2 drops of Thieves to 10 of the coconut oil). I think you can play around with the dilution, but it does contain a couple of hot oils, so dilution is necessary, I wouldn't use it straight. I tell all of my friends with kids to get this stuff, it's so incredible.

Has a nice scent but must be blended very well because I cannot make out the individual ingrediants. Very small bottle for the price.
