The patch you repair should be tucked under the lower overlap

Q: How do I attach this to my sheathing? tape or nails or both?

Q: Which way up do you install this? Logo out to sun/blank side down? Does it matter?

Q: Suitable for under gapped cladding? Installed like, vertical cladding, breather membrane, insulation, foil-tec... would it make the walls waterproof?

Cant see why not as long as it is breathable. Check with the supplier to be sure
