Q: What quantities of mixture is needed for this tin based on a standard 8 inch tin Madeira cake recipe?

To find out the amounts of cake mix you need you should fill the tin with water and then see what standard cake tin the water would fill - if for example the number one tin and, say, a 10" round then you need the recipe amounts for a 10" round hope you know what I mean.

Yes as with any cake if you brush a light coat of trex inside the pan then add some flour, shake around until the whole pan inside is covered and tap out excess...bake as usual, leave baked cake in the pan for 10 mins before turning out. I have never had a cake stick in 20 years of weekly baking using this method. Good luck 

Add in vanilla.Bake for 30 minutes at 180 C / Gas 4, until risen and golden brown.

Hi, I made a sponge cake for a family gathering with this tin and I thought it was ideal. My cake had a thick layer of cream and strawberries between two sponges so I cut the cake into small portions. I think I got 12 good sized portions from it.Hope this helps
