We are always misplacing the remotes for our 3 split systems in the house. I bought a couple of these and I literally just put batteries in and pointed them at the unit(s) and they work perfectly.There is no backlight on the remotes, but that’s not at all necessary when it’s a billion degrees. Awesome item for the price!

This remote works identical and looks identical to the original. The original is still good, but I realize if it does break, or if I lose it, I have no way to turn on the mini split. For that reason, a ordered this as a back up. But I don’t use it as a back up, I use it as my main remote, I did have one glitch. But now I have been using it five days without any problem. Hope this helps someone.
