The Lord of the Rings Instrumental Solos for Violin (with CD): Violin (with Piano Acc.), Book & Online Audio/Software (Pop Instrumental Solo)

I've just finished my Grade 1 violin as an adult learner. I found this book a nice bridge between grades 1 and 3.The songs are in interesting time signatures and have a nice array of different key signatures.Music seems correct, I've not used the cd yet but other reviews have mentioned that the region is incorrect. It's on YouTube anyway

Love Love Love! This is a brilliant book if you are a beginner and want to play something nice. The CD is great - has a performance track and a backing track for every piece. The pieces are nice and easy to learn, and encourage bowing technique to make them sound nice.

A brilliant collection of songs and an excellent addition to have in a music collection just to play for fun.Each song comes with two versions, one with a violin support and one without so you can practice on your own or with help following the music.Very impressed with this and would recommend it.

My 12 years old son loves playing those tunes. It made him enjoy his violin more. What a good present.

Some are a little oversimplified, but the main themes from all three LOTR movies are there, with the piano accompaniments if you wanted them.

At last my son can play the music he likes. He has only passed bronze so some pieces are too hard but can already play -The Steward of Gondor and In Dreams so very happy.

Bought this for my granddaughter for her birthday as she loves 'Lord of the Rings' and thought that it would make playing the violin more fun and interesting. Well worth the money as it makes playing a little more 'fun'.

I am pleased with the book itself, BUT the CD is for region 1, and given the fact that I live in and purchased it in the UK, it would have been nice if this had been made clear by the seller. Basically the CD comes up as empty when I try to play it. Have tried both computer and CD-player. Have also tried to alter the region code on my computer but without success.
