Lovely bulb for an open lamp shade
I bought this bulb for two reasons:1) The area needed something bright and2) A smaller sized bulb would have looked unblanaced with the lampshade I'd chosen. It's been very successful on both counts! The lightbulb provides a good, non-flickering, even diffusion of light, and it looks far smarter than the average sized bulb when it's switched off.Would happily repurchase!

seriously bright bulb - perfect for a craft workspace
Bought a couple of these bulbs after the previous bulb in my partner's workspace expired. She told me the previous one had never been quite bright enough and asked if i could find something brighter. I ordered and returned a similar bulb with a 6000k colour temperature rating. It was super bright but the light it gave was harsh and unpleasant to be in. These arrived today and they are perfect - extremely bright with a light that fills the whole room but is still comfortable to work in. Very highly recommended.

Nice mid-warm/white colour and very bright!
Purchased 2 of these Globe Bulbs for our living room. This is a NON-dimmable bulb.Actual Dimensions are:120mm diameter.160mm Total length (approx 134mm length beyond metal bayonet fixing). The globe itself is lightweight and manufactured from opaque plastic. You cannot see inside, but according to the box and text printed on the bulb, it's SMD (Surface Mount Device) technology.SMD's tend to provide stronger brightness compared to standard LED or COB technology, but can fade faster during their lifetime.Don't let the plastic material deter you. When you're holding it in the hand, it does feel 'cheap' compared to something traditionally made from glass, but once it's fitted, no one will ever tell the difference - especially once it's turned on!When buying LED bulbs (lamps), always pay attention to the colour temperature 'K' value. You may find that two different 'warm' colour lamps being different in the colour temperature. Both may rightly claim to be 'warm', but one can still be more yellow than the other. Generally, the lower K value, the 'warmer' or more yellow the light is.I would definitely call this a 'Warm White' colour. However, this bulb is not quite as warm (yellow) as illustrated. The colour temperature is advertised as 3000k. I would say it's a bit whiter, closer to 4000k.Please note that the bulb received will differ slightly from the design shown in the description images (Don't you hate it when they do that!?!) - just a lightly different curve to the area around the neck of the bulb. Nothing drastic that will put you off.In addition to this, there is also a discrepancy in the brightness (lumens) advertised in the description above. It's stated as 1440lm, but the packaging states 1600lm.Whichever is correct, this is higher than other bulbs of similar size and it will brighten up a room substantially!Great value & recommended.

Very Bright
This light was to replace an ordinary light bulb that was used without a shade in a large cupboard under the stairs. This cupboard is used as a storage place for various items and now I do not need a torch to look at the back as the light is so good. 4 stars for value as I have no idea how long it will last. Another plus is that it looks good and certainly does not need a shade.

These are the brightest bulb I have found yet
These are exceptionally bright, obviously will not fit all lamp-shades but these are absolutely brilliant (pun intended). I have tried sooooo many LED bulbs and they are usually blue-white (horrible) or dim - these ones are nice and warm but give a lot of light out. They are also quite robust - I dropped one onto a concrete floor and it bounced around like a ball!

Good looking bulbs.
I bought two of these bulbs for my living room which has rather low ceilings making it difficult to find a suitable lightshade, so I opted for these large bulbs as "naked" light sources, and very nice they look too. They have a warm slightly yellow light, much nicer than the stark cold white of some offerings.Straightforward bayonet fitting, simply swapped them out with the standard bulbs. At 18w each, that's only 36w total, much more economical than old-school filament bulbs or even halogens.Despite their size they are lightweight and do not present a problem using an ordinary ceiling rose/wire/lampholder arrangement. And they are nice and bright.Costing £11.99 I think they are fair enough considering their unique appearance and decorative effect. I've transformed my living room for under £24, cant argue with that!
