Mil-Spec for 30+yrs. If you shoot & want dependable weapons you need to Clean, Lubricate and Protec t- CLP no substitutions.
Keep with the original. Mil-Spec for 30+years. If you shoot and you want dependable weapons you need to Clean, Lubricate and Protect. CLP, that's what it does. There are a hundred solvent and lubes on the market for cleaning your weapon, but this is the easiest and simplest. Its also the best. Anyone that tells you to that you need to use a solvent to get your weapon "Q-tip" clean thinks that museums are where weapons go. Yes, you can get q-tip clean using CLP and a lot of q-tips... , but in reality, if you use a solvent to get out "all" the crud can grey oil/powder soot, carbon etc, you risk not getting enough lube (or having our lub contaminated with solvent) and that can cause a failure during a critical incident. (get your weapon clean, but a little grey on the q-tip during final cleaning is normal) Similarly, if your weapon goes in and out of a safe, or in/out of hot, cold etc, or even just lives in a closet or a safe without a dehumidifier, a lack of a protective coat of oil (the L&P in CLP) can result in even the best of weapons slowly growing rust... and that's just not right. Clean it, Lube it, Protect it... and it will always protect you.

CLP-20 on P226
I purchased CLP-20 for use on my SIG Sauer p226R. I didn't purchase one of the models with a night sights or fiber optics, so I can't comment on how the product might affect night sights or fiber optics. As far as the finish and the feel of the pistol with this product applied, I found that where some lubricants seem to leave a bit of residue if left on the pistol and not fired, this product did not. I probably applied the product 2 weeks before using the pistol and found that the application was just as fresh as when I applied it.There were no negative effects to the finish or to the operation of the pistol. When cleaning the pistol I field stripped it, and applied the product letting it sit for about 4 hours. When I went back to clean it I found that it removed gunk that had seemingly built up without my noticing, but as it is a lubricant the rails felt very smooth.I highly recommend this product.

My go to cleaner/lube for years.
My go to cleaner/lube for years.Seems like availability goes up and down in the local stores. I was low and couldn't find a bottle in ANY of the stores for a few months so I had to buy this bottle online. A few months later it was available everywhere (from small gun stores to "big box" stores) again. I don't understand the strange up and down with the local availability, but whatever. All of my rifles and handguns purchased since my switch to this have never been touched by another product. It works flawlessly and seems to work better with time as it seasons the metal. My Glock barrel literally gets easier to clean every time I clean it.Only qualification I will make is this stuff has never been able to get the plastic from the wads out of my shotgun barrels. Come dove season, the Hoppes No9 still gets the nod.

Everything still looks like there is some lube when stripping the pistols down
I've used it to clean my pistols many times and have many friends that also swear by this product. Friend suggestions are what lead me to purchasing the product. For my uses this is more than enough to clean my pistols. They are not under heavy use and I try to keep everything cleaned as soon as I return from the range. That being said this does get all of the residue out of every corner that i can get to with a pick and a rag.Note:I generally will not have more than 200 - 300 rounds at one range time before cleaning. Everything still looks like there is some lube when stripping the pistols down.

Fantastic cleaner and lubricant
I’m going to have to stop using this. It removes residue so well, I clean and clean and clean some more! I misplaced it and uses another well-known cleaner first. Cleaned until the patch was residue free. Didn’t have any lube so I went searching for my CLP. Now I’m cleaning forever! JK. This is all I will use in the future. Great product! I was not paid for this review but pm me if you want to send me a case😄.

CLP!
This is what we always used for our M16's back when I was in the Army. As many people know, our rifles had to be spotless not only upon inspection but when we would go out to the field on recon missions, patrols, etc. The Military isn't going to have a contract with something that isn't tested and proven. I trusted my life to it's cleaning and lubrication properties back then and it still works amazing to this day in my personal firearms. For an all in one Cleaning, Lubrication and Preservative, this is the fastest most trustworthy option you can choose. Highly recommended! The eyedropper tip bottle is nice for portability as well as controlling how much gets used on each particular portion of your firearm.Pick some up today!
