Coliro Finetec C600 Artist Mica Watercolor Pearl and Shimmer-Pearl Paint - Set of 6

Bought these on recommendation from my calligraphy teacher. Seem pricey but they are the best metallic colours I’ve ever used and they don’t dry out and become unusable like most of the metallics I’ve used in the past. Remember poster paints from school? These work just like them. Add water, paint, allow to dry out until next time, and they last for ages.

I didn't really know what to expect with water colour golds, I didn't do much research, but when they arrived and I tried them out (following the instructions for wetting the paint) I was blown away. The pigment is amazing! It paints like a dream, all of the colours have a distinct gold to them and the silver is moon-bright. I'm planning to use these paints on a rich dark blue painted wall to paint constellations and after a test I cannot wait. It's going to look fantastic. Will definitely be getting replacements when we inevitably run out

These are expensive but you get what you pay for. High quality. Lots of metallic shine.

Really really love the Tibet Gold, Inca Gold and Arabic Gold. They are really really shines and cover evenly. Slightly underwhelmed by Gold Pearl and the Sterling Silver. They didn’t shine as much on first application and were a bit streaky. Maybe I didn’t apply them as well as the first three or used too much water. The moon Gold is really pretty but does not shimmer as much as the first three on first application. Before first application I applied two small drops of water to each pan and allowed to soak in before working in with a small flat brush. Overall these are really pricey but they get rave reviews and the first three colours are stunning. I think they are worth it.

On white waterolour paper the paint is opaque enough to use just one layer and paints as easily as ordinary watercolour paints. Takes a little longer to dry than normal colours but responds well to a little hot air to speed this up. Doesn't crack or rub off. I've also tried these paints on good quality black card stock with stunning effect. Takes 2 or 3 mins to activate with water - it's such a pleasure to do this, well worth the wait! I'm really pleased with this set which gives 5 very different shades of gold as well as the warm silver.

I did not expect these paints to live up to the hyper but they sure did! Fantastic quality! Seem to be lasting a while too I’ve already used them on a few projects and the pans have barely gone down. I’m now going to have buy more in every colour they do!My favourite set of paints by far! Perfect for those little metallic/pearlescent details on paintings or clay etc. And for calligraphy- just wow! Beautiful 😍 10/10 would recommend

Only used it once so not able to test its durability or whether it will keep its lovely sheen. Lovely shades of gold and easy to use.
