Great bracket for folding table where one side is supported ...
Great bracket for folding table where one side is supported with the wall. I doubt these brackets would be good for a free-standing table, they do not have enough support to resist side-to-side movement on their own. The latching mechanism is more than adequate for the application. Installation was simple and easy. Finish looks nice, but really they are not visible most of the time unless you go out of your way to look.My one gripe would be that Rockler make a right and left side bracket, so the latching mechanism can be actuated from the front on both, instead of one having the mechanism being pressed from the back.Used to put a folding project table in my basement/workshop.

These work for me
The media could not be loaded. Rip a 2x4 in half for the legs, 1-1/2" x 1-3/4", the 1-1/2" dimension fits perfectly between the hinge where it must fold into itself. 3 screws hold it to the mounting surface, 3 more hold it to the leg. These unmounted hinges are stiff until they are mounted, quite easy to manage when the leg is installed. They lock & make a *snap* sound when deployed, but when folded away they are not as audible when being locked but they do lock into place easily. There is some movement in the legs when deployed but the lock keeps it from collapsing. I am not afraid these will fail on me under normal working conditions. A tip to get the leg to have minimal wobble would be to mark your drill holes on the leg but compensate about 1-3mm down toward the foot of the leg & drill, that way it will cinch it up tightly against the bottom of your table once deployed.

Makes a clean looking project
I had been tasked with making a fold down craft bench for my daughter in law. I needed the legs to fold out of the way and these brackets fill the bill. I used a solid core door which is quite heavy and a full length piano hinge for the inside and these brackets for the legs. Very sturdy with this arrangement. I saw other reviewers giving these a bad review because they weren't stable enough but they are not designed to be stand alone table legs.

Working Great!
Pros: Very sturdy locking device. Used on custom van conversion tables around kithen sink area. Was sturdy and strong enough to use only one per table where the other end of table was attached to kitchen sink cabinet with hinges. Very easy to extend leg into locking position and unlock to fold table away.Cons: None at this time. Worked great for my application.

Not for use on a free-standing 4 leg table
These work great for an attached fold-down table where you only need 2 folding legs (I have used them several times for this purpose), however, I can not say I can recommend these if you are making a free-standing table with 4 folding legs (at least for larger tables, I haven't tried using them on smaller tables). I needed folding legs for a table I made that was around 54" x 42", and the table is very wobbly, even after adding vertical cross bars between each set of folding legs. There is just enough play in the hinge where once you attach it to a long leg (26" legs in my case), the leg moved a lot. Needless to say I will be searching for a better folding hinge for use on the table.4 stars for use with an attached 2 legged table, 2 stars for use with a free-standing 4 legged table, thus the 3 star rating.

Sturdy as heck!
Heavy duty brackets and very sturdy, they appear to have been manufactured well! I'll likely never have to replace these.

Great product, easy to install, easy to use
I bought these to use on a sewing center I planned to build for my wife. But, I first had to build an outfeed table for my table saw and I wanted to be able to fold the table down when not in use. I was looking at these on my workbench and thought what the heck? The are really great because the legs lock in place in both the folded up and extended position, so I created the outfeed table with some hinges, used these legs and what's great is they lock in the folded position and the down position. So two clicks and the outfeed table is locked in place for cutting large objects and two clicks and the table folds down next to the saw out of the way. Now I guess I have to buy another set for the wife's sewing center.

Great product!
I am very thankful to find this product on Amazon Prime. I have painted a special table top, I wanted this top to connect by a type of hing so that it lays flat against the wall. Rockler's Posie Lock holds a table leg (2) flush against the under side of the table. I have enjoyed the crafts & games with all of our Grandkids, this product is safe to be touched & used by all, young kids to adults. A+
