LG Electronics OLED55G36LA 55 inch 4K Ultra HD OLED HDR Smart TV with Game Optimiser

Bought to replace a TV that was working perfectly well, but which wouldn't fit properly into the Media Wall we were having built (don't ask!). Saw this in a shop and was impressed by the colours and, having purchased it I can confirm the display quality is as good as it appeared in the shop. The sound is OK, although we fitted it to a Sound Bar for better performance, but this is partly because the speakers are at the back, and so lost in the Media Wall. Easy to set up and fits the generic wall mount we had (the one that comes with it is quite limiting; great for fitting on a wall, not so great for fitting in a Media Wall, where the back wall is some way back). A little more expensive than other models, but we felt it was worth the extra in the end.

I've had the Tv for 2 weeks now and I upgraded from the LG CX Oled - The G3 is in a different league. Brightness, picture quality, colour, gaming. I thought my CX was good but the brightness was only about 700 nits the G3 is about 1400/1500 nits of peak brightness.Movies and games come to life with 3D pop its almost like the screen is popping out at you.This tv is the best tv in the world right now and unless you can afford the Sony A95L... at the this price point you won't be disappointment. Any questions about the product let me know.You get the wall mount in the box but no a stand - you can use any wall mount.

Great tv but don’t work when it come out of the box sent all day fitting the tv to the wall for not to turn on now we got to send it back for a new one

The media could not be loaded. Most amazing and great quality picture and colours for movies and video apps, PC etc. LG OLED panel all the way.Some light reflections from windows etc. but subtle. Bright TV so you won't have to pull the curtains down or otherwise cover your windows.Game mode not great. The colours and contrast is way off in game mode so you have to adjust it yourself but that's not all. Game mode comes on automatically every time you launch a game so you have to adjust the picture again because the TV does not remember your settings for game mode.The menu is clunky not at all intuitive. Remote annoying to work with.The AI features are just boosted sound mode and sharpened and more vivid picture mode that have slapped AI Infront of the settings.Dolby atmos sound is good if you have at least 5+1 speakers otherwise is useless. Descend soundbar should give nice sound too.Dolby vision is good if you have content for it. Netflix, Disney, Apple, Prime etc. support it on the expensive subscription. Bright TV means you don't need Dolby Vision so much but it always feels good to have something you don't need.Playstation 5 does not support Dolby vision.Xbox X/S does support Dolby vision.Upscaling... Probably works. I'll need to put low quality videos for that one but... So far I havent seen 460p video on this TV to tell.So if you have extra money to spend on TV you can get this one but not if you gaming on console.Id recommend QD OLED Samsung if you don't need any specific LG OLED feature like Dolby Vision and other similar gimmicks.

Having procrastinated for 6 months over this purchase I regret not switching sooner. The picture quality is stunning, the 4K 120 hrz refresh rate makes flight simulator a joy just to watch! UHD football ( irrespective of the actual result ) is amazing: indeed anything in UHD is almost unworldly. The optical pointer is a surprisingly good feature… not a gimmick… and even if the interface is a bit slow and lacks the intuitive feel of the rest of the kit… this is still a great purchase.
