Beautiful content of the book. One of the best garden books

I bought this book as a present for a friend who has just moved to a new build house, so their garden is a blank canvas. They were completely delighted with it.I had a look through it myself and it is full of beautiful pictures of different styles - from traditional cottage gardens to more formal and modern. It's a bit like having a Pinterest board in one place - that someone who knows what they're talking about has collated for you.I really recommend this lovely book for anyone considering a revamp of thier own garden, or as a present for someone looking for ideas. It's lovely.I'll probably buy a copy for myself too.

Middle of winter, too cold/wet/windy to be outside where I want to be, and this book is a godsend. Full of photos of beautiful gardens, giving me ideas to help plan what I want to do with my new home's outdoor space.

Nice ideas & pictures

This is a wonderful book. It is brilliant at capturing specific garden designs, but also Majerus's photos show why the design works and why design is not just about planting. I own quite a lot of different garden design books, and this is pretty much my top choice, one of a handful I go back to over and over again. If there is a gardener in your life, this is the book for them.

According to the good reviews one should get lots of ideas. For me it seems to be a collection of „who-is-who“ for garden architects/ landscapers. There are lots of high quality pictures- parks and mansion gardens. Each of which seems to be created by professionals on high price segment and for spacious gardens.Though, if one looks for a general idea or name of an gardener, go ahead, if one seaches for smaller garden ideas, there are better RHS books with more detailled descriptions and more suitable for smaller spaces.It was really disappointing.
